im happy with what we have now in regards to felton/kidd/pablo however i think those people are still diehard knick fans they just embraced linsanity. Linsanity was probably best best thing weve seen in the garden since 2000

We keep talking about linsanity in those six or seven games but what about the other players on the floor at that time. All of them were playing above thier game. It took LeBron and the Heat to bring us back down to earth. Lin was magic during that time and the news media ran with it. Now he have to prove himself for what he really is. And the buzz word in Houston is that they got suckered for 25million. Yes the Knicks new something that Houston didn't know and that was that Lin's body couldn't hold up for a half a season playing those minuets.
This is not really determined yet is it?
In my mind he has two years to play up to his third year salary. He has to figure out a lot of things on the court and as a leader of his new team. As far as holding up, the kid reminds me what Phil Ford did coming out of UNC back in the day. The kid might have been one of the best PG's in college history and took that game to the NBA. Lin is effective as a threat to penetrate and it beats down the body. Phil Ford eventually had health problems as it could not sustain it for a long time. Lin has to look at how Nash is able to mix it up. Back up and Nash kills you with the shot. Play up and he'll blow buy you. Double and trap and he finds the pick and roll. Stop him penetrating and Nash kicks it out.
YOu need tools to do that around you. Novak was great in the corner, Tyson on the pick and roll. I believe Melo could have had many easy baskets and we Know Amare can pick and roll.
But in the end we all know the contract was "ridiculous" and while most of us prefer he stayed, Knicks never made an offer and Rockets over paid to get the man they wanted.
Right now they are treating him like an investment and won't press him. He'll have time to work it thru.
For some Knick fans he is like the hot college girl we dated and had a brief but amazing time with! She meets a dude with lots of money and goes away. Over the years you hope she gets fat and is no longer hot. Bottom line is she is gone and what you do wit your life is what counts. If you end up with a great girl, all pretty and hot and your happy, it don't matter how the Ex turned out. If the KNicks succeed without Lin its irrelevant.
Felton is like the rebound chick who lost lots of weight and wants to flaunt it. He'll do for while but we know long term he is not the kind of player Lin had the potential to be. What is a long time with the knicks? Two or three seasons? Who the hell knows!
Knicks just need to take care of business themselves. If not, then the bitching will continue.

What the heck??? LOL Nadlod this ain't about chicks and lost love. This is about basketball win or loose. Lin was a media explosion that looks like it may go bad. And if anyone is saying give Lin 2 years to get better?? Well that means that he really wasn't worth 25 million and good for Houston who tried and screwed us more than once. I doubt that Lin will be in the NBA in 4 years if he plays 35 or 40 mins a game. And if D'Antoni had him he would have rode him till he droped. D'Antoni said that.
