Most of you are correct to assume I am hedging my bets with the N*ts. I am reading about them and "following" them. That might be the first step to becoming a fan. I don't really know.

I don't "Love" my teams like I did as a kid. These are paid professional entertainers who put a product on the floor for our entertainment and profit. Im not sure the knicks are really into "winning" as much as being run as a company. Guys like Cuban have made it a passion to win and of course make money.

I can't turn my back on them as its been a life time passion which is why Im here.

We got two years I think with this club. Its a short window. I hope they get it done!

Negativity spreads like a disease throughout organizations, households and even Internet forums. What is curious however is that you openly admit your growing affinity for the Nets, yet are one here all the time with hundreds, if not thousands of posts, bitching, obsessing and analyzing Dolan's every move. Your like the guy who's girlfriend broke up with him, yet he follows her around and still talks about her all the time to his friends. Let it if go if you need to. You obviously feel the grass is greener in other organizations. There is nothing wrong with rooting for the Nets, but if you are doing this, why come here and continually bitch and moans and spread hate?

I'm guessing most people here are long time Knicks fans, same as you. Me, since 1973. You claim that you can not turn your back on the Knicks based on all your time vested. We've all vested significant time/emotion. By hedging your bets with a team like the Nets, you essentially have turned your back on the Knicks....and it appears that your hatred for Dolan is stronger than your love of the team at this point.

My words speak for themselves. This is offseason.

Jimmy lucked out the Swamp Dragons were inept for so long but he feels the heat now of them breathing down his back. The heat plus the stench of his own breath must be very unpleasant.

Renovation of the garden, rush to get reboot the franchise and stuff as many stars on the roster, and new uniforms all have a sense of urgency not found in previous regimes. The Russian is mind phuching him and is unafraid to pay taxes. N*ts have second highest payroll. Media seems to think they are a 50 game + winning team on paper.

If Knicks falter this year it will be a nightmare for him. If the knicks falter with a youthier team fans could be less harsh on them as they are "Building". Ok, a few fans could. If Knicks ever sold a youthier regime to its fans it could buy them time.

Not in Jimmy house though, its all about the here and now. Has not worked too well in my estimation. Finally though he gets off the "highest salary team" list. Lakers lead that. BUt they have a fair amount of bling in the trophy case. Knicks cupboard is kind of sparse.

We all root for Jimmy to succeed, but we don't have to like him to be a fan of the team.
