We have our own Melomania so lets put Linsanity to rest and in history books.

PROBLEM IS,anyone in their right mind knows how empty melomania is, and surely less exciting.. get use to iso city..... this is going to be a looooooong season....

TK, I only see that if Amare is injured or ineffective and the only way to win is "18-6 ride YouTube Melo 'till he drops kind of ball" which over the course of 82 games is either not possible or nets (no pun intended for the NetPHobic sensitive) Melo an MVP honor. Lets be fair and assume with the new season comes some fresh hope.

If not I for one won't freak out into an anger tirade searching for blame.

All I know there is enough "espn" hate that has given us enough fair warning that so long as the knicks are compromised by its owners ineptitude one should temper its enthusiasm.

nalod, I can only hope that amare is 100% and ready, I think that is our real hope. I just can't get behind this self proclaimed leader of the knicks(carmelo). The guy is a bozo and it bothers me that dolan has made this guy the face of the team... I will just say this nalod. The air around this organization is just tainted, I don't get a good vibe at all.. not with dolan, grunwald, carmelo and especially not with isiah lurking somewhere and yes he is lurking for sure..

we can hope for the best, but I am so tired of investing time and hope in a team run by dolan and his minions... is there any real hope bro? I hope I am wrong... want to get back to enjoying knicks ball.. linsanity gave me that for a month.. i was proud to be a knick fan again., evenif it was just a brief moment...

I have to say that I totally disagree. When Walsh wasn't resigned I was really worried but I have been very impressed with Grunwald. Granted he was tasked of adding to the team after the rebuild occurred and that is probably easier but he has been quietly effective. I also love Woodson and I was not sure that I would. MY hope was that Frank would be the defensive assistant Grunwald chose for D'Antoni but Woodson has been very impressive. When guys like Mike Bibby say he is a father figure, the stars on the team talk about accountability that wasn't there before, and the team finishes the season without a back to back loss despite injuries over the final 24 games, I thimk the Knicks have the right guy. Reading about guys complying with Woody's suggestions for offseason improvement and his visiting with the members of his team has been awesome. I do think Amare has a big bounce back year but I don't see that as taking away from Melo. I also don't see Melo as the self proclaimed leader. He is the first guy asked a question and he is the best player on the floor but I don't know if that makes him the leader. I am anxious to see Kidd's impact on this squad. Kidd had a Messier like impact on the Nets and the Mavs won a championship. He has his demons but I think he is much more than functional. T

Basically you take all the propaganda and smoke it. It tastes good. Thats cool.

It all sets up nice to you. Woodson like a father figure to these lost boys and gonna bring them together in some Mr Miyagi meets Shaft kind of way to make them accountable proud men. Im glad your buying this. Me, I think this is a group of Multimillionaires who are paid to do a job and entertain the fans. winning would be nice.

Yeah, this is a nice movie. Tell you what, let the games speak for themselves.

Neither did Woodson for that matter. Amare missed almost that entire run and didn't come back until there were 4 games left in the regular season.

18-6 is not your empirical evidence. IT was a nice run.

Grunny has not been brilliant, he was given a lot of money to get Tyson.

Walsh was rebuilding. MDA was not a mistake, not having the right roster was the mistake.

Defending Dolan is not really your best argument. I don't think anyone is defending MDA.

Melo criticism is valid. The Kid can play and is a world of talent. If your hopeful thats another thing. Do I think Woodson can make it work?
Don't know if he can but I hope so.

In NBA money can get you stars and hype.
You cannot by greatness and respect (in NBA or ever).
That why Jimmy will always fail and Knicks will always suck until he will leave this pure organization alone.

Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position.

What about 18 & 6 is propaganda? Better team defense, and being more prepared for games is what we saw when Woodson took over. Nothing Propaganda about that. Wanna see propaganda, sift through the board and take a look at the anti-everything posts that twist everything to fit a particular posters point and view.

Where are u getting this lost boys looking for a father figure crap...The guys need a coach to lead them on the court much in the way Micheal and the Bulls needed the right coach, the Lakers needed the right coach...Almost all of these guys are grown men and good citizens in their own right...Maybe u don't like who these guys are as men but that seems to be a you problem, that's not on them....

Propaganda? The guy before Woodson sucked. He sucked really bad. He couldn't find away to get a team with Tyson, Amare, and Melo as its frontline anywhere near .500. How many long losing streaks over the course of 4 years do you need to know its not going to work out? When D'Antoni left the guys that went out to dinner with him were upset. Listen to Mike Breen try to find ways to trash Melo during a broadcast. JVG calls him on it. Clyde is a gentleman and tries to settle him down. Things weren't working with Mike. The team went on an incredible run after he left and saved the season and insured that Houston wasn't getting a lottery pick. Walsh spent a long time trying to make things workfor D'Antoni and make the hire not a mistake. My opinion on Dolan moving onfrom Walsh was that he was told to hire Walsh and Walsh spoke to him like a wise old guy, like a father and Dolan didn't like that and didn't like being told to move his guy out. I think Grunwald has been brilliant. The best gm since Ernie. I also don't hold Walsh's tenure in the same high regard that some here do.

the team also went on an incredible run without melo during linsanity....do you think that melo sucked then? as nalod mentioned, dantoni wasn't bad, the team that was being built was bad for him.. remember pre-trade he had amare and those kids at 28-26.. not bad... i think woodson is a good guy, was a season ticket holder when he coached here in atlanta... he is no miracle worker as he had his share of problems getting Joe johnson and josh smith on the same page... he lost his team, evidence of the epic playoff losses to the magic( biggest margin of losses in nba history, I think).... instead of just sipping the kool aid and getting mad at those of us who have reservations, step back for a minute, take off the knick glasses and try seeing things from another perspective..... for the love of god, you just said grunwald has been brilliant? rofl.. WTH? brilliant with what?

Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position.

What about 18 & 6 is propaganda? Better team defense, and being more prepared for games is what we saw when Woodson took over. Nothing Propaganda about that. Wanna see propaganda, sift through the board and take a look at the anti-everything posts that twist everything to fit a particular posters point and view.

we looked lost and very unprepared in the playoffs vs the heat..... keep the little 18-6 run in perspective....

Injury riddled teams usually look that way.

The Bulls looked a little helpless without Rose too,

D'antoni was terrible here, no way to argue against that.

He didn't have "his" type of team, but alot of the game lost weren't due to the talent either.

Haha - funny shyt!

Who did not look lost against the Heat? Boston? OKC?

And those teams were not missing half their squad. Haha - we looked lost with Bibby as our best PG! GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ

Talk about Propaganda and sipping koolaid - KEEP DRINKING MAN!

18-6 (against tough competition) was ... EH

But Linsanity against an opponents winning PCT of .350 was DA BOMB!

I have reservations too just like I do at the start of every season and then the season starts and I give my team a chance.

You snatched the words right off my keyboard. Dude is claiming the Lin run was great but brushing aside the 18-6 run is the pure definition of propaganda.

you guys can't have it both ways.. pump up the 18-6 run, but use injury excuses when we lose...

we looked overmatched vs the heat, the heat were behind in both series to the celts and pacers.. they didn't look lost..

our formula is taylor made for the heat, iso melo will never beat that team...... injuries or not...

Fail Logic. Against the Heat Amare, Chandler, Baron Davis, Lin and Shumpert were all hurt and missed games. The Heat were wholly healthy against the Knicks. The Heat did not have Bosh against the Celts and Pacers which obviously made the Heat weaker. You essentially have taken an irrational position and choose to argue it despite logic and facts wholly disproving your position.

Jeremy made what he felt was the best decision and is set for life. Can't blame him for that. Glen also made a difficult and courageous decision that he felt was best for the franchise long term.
FIX THE KNICKS / AND MAKE THEM SHINE / GET ’EM TO WIN LIKE ITS ’69 / HITTIN’ ALL THEIR FREE THROWS / AND NO MORE SHOOTING BRICKS / TIME TO GET IT RIGHT / AND FIX THE KNICKS

Its Jeremy Lins fault the knicks were overmatched byvthe Heat in the playoffs. You know all those turnovers he had and all the waving off of melo and amare because he is selfish. He went back to houston for a bigger contract after the knicks disrepected him all offseason and he is evil and manipulative and greedy and is racist

I thought the article is fair. Alot of fans are quick to bash Dolan, but you have to look at the issue both ways. Lin and Houston reneged on the offer. Lin doesn't come away from this with his hands clean.
