You're assuming, MrK, but not providing any evidence for, Chandler's lack of effort over his career (a guilty until proven innocent assumption). This is not a YMCA pickup game. Chandler might have outstanding post moves there. He's going up against the best defensive players in the world. In the NBA, you have to not only have the moves but also be able to pull them off with outstanding quickness so that the defense can't react. If you had some evidence, some quotes from Chandler or even from past teammates or coaches saying Chandler doesn't work on his offensive game, your view would be more plausible but you appear not to have such evidence.

Was he not scheduled to workout with Hakeem? Did Woody not set that up? Obviously our coach saw a need and attempted to rectify it.

Is Hakeem going? No, he is going to Africa - GREAT!

Working on his game was more important for the Knicks than him playing in the olympics. He was not good in the olympics and should stick to what he's good at.

Yeah Woody did set it up. However, the dude does not seem rest time. He was playing with a bad wrist for most of the season last year and hurt his finger during the Olympics. Besides, I think we can survive with Tyson shooting 68% from the field.

Shooting 68% is great but that does not help when he catches the ball 12 feet from the hoop and his defender is nowhere near him. That does not show up in the box score.

True but we're talking Tyson Chandler. The guy hasn't had an offense game for 11 years. He is what he is. Working with Hakeem for 2 weeks isn't going to change a thing. It took him 8 years to improve his free throw shooting.

offensively Melo at the 4 and Amare at the 5 we are very dangerous with Novak camping out to get a kick.

We have all seen this. Space.

Tyson is great but his limited shot takes aways space. Im not going to worry about when and how he fixes it and with whom, but it needs to be added to his game.

He looked good cheering and dancing on team USA bench. The international game is not the NBA so Im not worried bout him playing but we got chemistry issues to address. Woodsons black beard alone can't make that go away!

So it's not ok for Tyson Chandler to actually rest this off season? We are unreal at times with our expectations of these athletes simply because they play a sport for their profession. The guy is coming off a shortened seasoned where he played his but off and won DPOY. Then he is rewarded with starting for Team USA and basically all the practice and travel that goes with that. I can respect a man that says he needs to be still, rest, spend time with the family, recharge. We all need this regardless of what our profession is. If he didn't play in the olympics, then yeah, I'd be expecting him to be there with Amare, but give the guy a break, not newsworthy.

DPOY. Say it slowly. Breathe through your nose. Concentrate on your inner shot blocker.

Maybe we need Camby to work on his handle and running the PNR.

Maybe Felton could rebound better and work on his Mark Jax tear drop layup in the post.

Maybe Woody needs to hire an offensive coordinator who could work on spacing and getting open threes in SSOL?

Isn't there a Shump rehab twitter site we could talk about?

be still, rest, spend time with the family? No. He is going to Tanzania - rest?

Forget about Hakeem and post moves? How about 1000 shots a day in his own house/gym?

DPOY was not good enough to keep him on the floor with team USA, especially in crunch time where he "rested" on the bench
