This is so sad because something is going on inside of you and often times it's a cry for help. It's no fun for someone who wants to support the Knicks to see the negative stuff everyday. Consider rooting for a team like the Nets or another team but move on. When I read your post I visualize a very depressed person who needs help. I'm not trying to be funny but maybe you should seek therapy. You seem bitter and it could be beyond Jim Dolan. If I read blogs and detect so much negativity towards someone else I often pray and hope that these bloggers do not go out do something bad like what happened last week. If all that hate sits inside of you it could lead to destruction. Please try to post some good positive ideas and think happy thoughts. Posting negative comments about Jim Dolan is becoming so yesterday and for you to hope that he dies is not good. Do some soul searching.
When you're a Knicks fan for almost 40 years, and had bought season tickets before, then talk to me please. You just don't know Knicks well enough to understand the agony of a Knicks fan for that long. There's nothing positive about Jim Dolan. It's not just yesterday and it's not just today. You need to do some soul searching and ask yourself what the truth is. The truth is, Jimmy Dolan never cared because fans keep giving him money to waste. That's the positive thing I'm doing. I'm trying to make everyone hate Jimmy Dolan because he's ruined this franchise for over 12 years now. If you live in a country of a dictatorship that doesn't care about it's people, do you just ask unhappy citizens to shut up about the dictator and try to think positive? No, you stand up and talk about it and confront it until people realize what's really going on. I'm not happy about Jimmy Dolan for sure, doesn't mean I'm a depressed person. All my friends wouldn't make fun of me being a diehard Knicks fan if I were depressed. I'm not giving up making people understand we need to stop supporting Jimmy Dolan. It's people like you that enables him.
How do you not support Dolan but support the team? Watching games on MSG puts $$$$ in the man's pockets. There is NO WAY that I'm not watching the games. Dolan is the owner and I'm a Knicks fan. If you seriously hate Dolan that much maybe it's time to switch teams. Personally, bitching about lil Jimmy is not going to accomplish anything.
Yeah, I can't that reasoning at all. "I'm trying to make everyone hate Dolan". He needs to convince the 19,763 that attend the games first. Besides he wouldn't have even seen Lin had Dolan not given him a chance. Yep, that guy, the one who cuts the check.
What about the GM? Maybe we should hate the team because of the GM? Maybe the assistant marketing research VP? I hear that guy's a real dick. Yeah, that's more than enough reason not to support my Knicks team! What about those couple of snide security guards at that one gate? I think they suck. Geez, why did I ever start watching a team that has such sucky ownership and support staff? I mean, how can I support a franchise that once served me a burnt hot dog and didn't put enough ice in my soda at the Dave Deb number retirement game?
Hmmmm, maybe because when I was 10, I wanted to be Clyde. Then I wanted to be Debusschere. Then Bradley. Then I wanted to be BK. Then I wanted to be Ewing. Shee-it, there was a time I wanted to be Chris McNealy!
And you know, I never thought about my basketball card money going into the owner's pocket. I paid for my Oakley and Ewing and Starbles jerseys and supported and watched my team through decades of pain and suffering and I never once worried about Gulf and Western or MSG or Cablevision or got mutinous over what an effing stupid idiot Layden was or IT is.
IT'S NOT ABOUT THE OWNER. IT'S ABOUT THE TEAM. IF YOU WANT TO BE ABOUT THE OWNER, MOVE TO DALLAS. HE'S A COOL LOUDMOUTHED LEFT WING BILLIONAIRE WHO DOESN'T PLAY THE BLUES AND ATTENDS EVERY GAME AND WOULD PROBABLY TWEET YOU DIRECTLY ON A DAILY BASIS TO TELL YOU WHAT A GREAT SPORTS MANAGEMENT PLAYER PERSONNEL GENIUS YOU ARE. AND HE'S GOT A RECENT CHIP.
Yes, and you can always go to the Barklays. It's close, they'll probably serve Vodka coolers; and holy crap, you got JayZ!
