It destroys your argument.

What? No, it doesn't. Just because it was "strongly" considered and a day to day decision doesn't disprove anything I said. The reason it was a day to day decision was because he wasn't absolutely ready to come back. So, the team doctors and Lin had to weigh the potential benefits, having Lin play in 1 playoff game when we were already down 3-1, against potential risks, Lin re-injuring his knee, possibly irreparably.

It would not have been considered if it could have caused irreparable damage to him. At that point it is all highly precautionary.

you are convinced that it was the doctors call? I did not see that. I thought it was a bit of the Knicks brass but mostly Lin's call.

He had a lot to lose, we all no that. But I think it was mostly financial. Again, he ain't dumb.

he was day to day but the doctors never cleared him. besides Shump was down... Tyson was limited... Amar'e was limited... what chance did they have either way?

You are comparing Apples to Figs.

You don't know that the injuries had any similarities. According to that logic, nobody should come back from injuries until 2 months after they are perfect.

You don't know that the injuries had any similarities either, you are just repeating something Frank Isola can't let go.

And it was 5 weeks not 2 months.

Where did you read that the doctors did not clear him? Not saying that it is not true, I just didn't see that reported.

And again, why should any of them have played if there was no chance to win the series. Why did Amare come back? I thought I ready that in that case, the doctors strongly suggested that he not play but he felt like sh1t and wanted to make a bit of amends. What for? They had no chance.

How do you know I read Frank Isola's article? You are assuming way too much.

What other writer even mentions the 85% comment, let alone harps on it as much as Isola.

Well I did not read it and I don't care what pct it was. I just have a hunch that it was a business decision. And probably a smart one for him.

Why not? Do you remember Antonio McDyess coming off major knee surgery and blowing out the same knee at the end of a pre-season game?

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Look, I wasn't if favor of matching Lin, but I don't think he was wrong by not playing. At that point, we weren't going anywhere in the playoffs with or without him, so there wasn't anything significant to by risking further injury. If it was the last game of the the finals, he should have played.

+100000000 isnt enough zero's to back up anti Stephen A comments. The guy has bashed or marginalized Lin at every turn. Its either he hates him because of race or the whole thing is orchestrated before the show to anger people. Guys like bayless and Smith are exactly why I dont watch ESPN anymore unless a game is on. Those 2 are paid trolls that are put on TV just to stir the pot. They take the most extreme position there is on every single issue. A lot of the times their arguments dont even make sense. Both of those guys are blocked on my Twitter account because I dont even want to see things they say retweeted. Those 2 are part of the reason sports journalism sux today. Facts are no longer important just scream real loud the trolls perspective.
