GUYS, GUYS!!! This isn't the end. You have to look at it from the perspective of the teams new direction. I don't believe that the Knicks were ever really sold on Lin. By Knicks I mean Woody and by extension Grunwald. Grunwald brought Lin in for MDA but now that MDA isn't here I think he will look to give Woody the same support and get him the kind of players he wants!!! Grunwald is simply doing his job. I can tell that the conversations went like this.

Grunwald: Hey Woody what do you think of Lin as your starting PG?
Woody: Well Gruny i'll tell ya he's a good kid, but I don't think he's ready and I want a PG that is less turnover prone and less of a scoring guard.
OK Woody how about Nash, Kidd or Felton?
Yeah well I can't say no to Nash, cuz he's a 2 time MVP. I really like Kidd and Felton for the style I want to play, so yeah any of those guys is OK by me. OK Woody I'll get going on that.

IMO if the Knicks REALLY believed in Lin 100% they never would've sent him out to other teams to get a price. You just lock a kid up and put it all on the table from the start. You don't go on a starting PG hunt if you already have your starting PG! So right now the team has what it wants and in particular the head coach has what he wants in a roster. Mark my words, this is the roster that Woody wants!!! If you want to get the most out of a coach you give him the players he works best with and tho they never really did this with MDA, now they have a chance to do it right with Woody. GM, Coach and roster are all on the same page! Like this roster or not this is the right way to do it. Now you'll have Woody Ball 100% and not have MDA and Half Woody.

Sorry to spoil it for you but the defense will collapse on Amare, force felton to shoot and felton will miss the shot wildly. As the opposing guards release the opposing rebounders pass the ball upcourt for a fastbreak high percentage shot. We have already seen how those felton Amare pick and rolls end. It was part of the reason we got rid of Felton, remember? Some Knick fans have really short memories.

I'm gonna at least try to complain for another hour and then maybe I'll come back or maybe I won't. I might watch the Knicks some but I don't feel like rooting for them.

Why are you defending this move? Were you not a big proponent of Lin?

Some Knick fans seem to believe that we only played 15 games before we traded for Melo.

Is this sort of like when we extended Isiah Thomas based off of the last 20 games of the season?

You don't think Felton can find Novak in the corner like he found Shawne Williams?

With a horrible shooter and slow footed guard like felton running the show why would you sag off of Novak? Stay on him like white on rice and watch the knick offense flail and flounder. Similar to the way portlands offense floundered when felton was out there waddling.

Why am I despicable? Because I voice my displeasure with Fairweather Knicks fans that threaten to leave because one guy leaves the team? Guy wasn't even the best player on the team.

And with your handle, FeltonandAmare, shouldn't you be more supportive of Felton's return?

Hmmm... dramatic stuff.
Actually I am not living.
I will stay onboard and root... against Knicks.
I will try my best to make a fun of the team, players, coach, and obviously Jimmy the boss.
There is no doubt that this team will give me a lot of material.
Looking forward for wonderfull season.

Kidd last year was horrible though. With Lin atleast there was potential there. I am seriously getting steamed over this. I have to to go take a break somewhere and stop posting. This is seriously depressing me.. Put me on that list with the asterisks guys, i may be done for a while. I dont see how I can root for a team without potential and without hope.

This is very inaccurate. He put up allstar worthy numbers (17 and 9) while Stat looked like an MVP. Once they clicked, their chemistry was VERY good. And last i checked, the reason Felton was traded was to pick up a certain 5 time allstar from Denver. He was traded for the exact same reason Gallo, Chandler and Mosgov was traded. Felton will be just fine here.

I am actually gonna miss debating with some of you who are leaving. I understand you displeasure with this move and I respect you decisions and outrage. I myself will still be a die hard knicks fan just like I was through all Steinbrenners bonehead moves.

I hope you guys will be back and we can debate again while the knicks are hopefully winning.

I really wanted Lin back though I am not completely sold that it is the wrong move. We will certainly find out pretty soon.

All jokes aside, good luck fellas, I do hope that this all dies down, the knicks win and LIN IS A BUST IN HOUSTON If you are not with us then you are the enemy.

Exactly! Jose Reyes was my favorite baseball player and I watched as the Mets let him go. I was pissed, but you know what? I'm a Mets fan first. I'll never become a Marlins fan and, as much as I dislike the way the Wilpons have managed the team, I'll continue to root for them. Same thing for the Knicks. If I could stick with the Knicks after they traded Oakley, I sure as heck can stay with them after this. I wish Lin luck, but he is far from a sure thing or a finished product and I can't get too upset about him leaving.
