felton...surely the answer to it all!

There ain't no answer unless his name is Chris Paul

Well then, type to pack it in and start rebuilding again.

Thats if we only build for rings and not to be a playoff team where anything can happen.

If the Heat stay healthy, they are not really beatable.

Should all teams then rebuild?

It's all about winning a title. That's why they play the games. It would be different if they were "close" but if they need someone the caliber of Paul (who they can't get) then we're talking about a team that wont go far. If you haven't built a title team then, yes, you're constantly rebuilding to do so. There's nothing worse than being some middle of the road team who gets low 1st round picks. I am from the train of thought that you're either in it to win it or you're out of it and building to win it.

So should the knicks have blown it up every year with Ewing? They clearly were not gonna get by Chicago. Unless Jordan fancies baseball.

What happens if Wade rips up his knee? Then its anyones game.

You can only build with what is available to you. I say win 55 games and see what luck can do for you.

They could have gotten past the bulls if the Knicks would have gotten Ewing another stud to play with.

Hey what's wrong with Kiki, Ro Blackman, Xman, Charles Smith and D Harper??

Kiki sucked, Ro was over the hill, Xman only played 1 season, D Harper was on the decline but played well and Charles Smith is a 6'11 soft bitch who can dunk a dman ball when he's 2 inches away from a damn rim.

Thinking back I'm amazed they played as well as they did.

Ha..All true ..XMan brought a toughness that I loved tho..That's why I hate the JKidd signing, I seen this all before, we get these guys on their last legs and they have nothing to offer when they get here...

X played Pippen tough in the playoffs. For the life of me I can't remember why he didn't come back the next season.

But they could not get him one. And Ewing was a pretty selfish offensive player.

Maybe now they can get Melo a stud to play with?

i heard this young stud jeremy lin is available because his idiot original team is to stupid to sign him.

Is he better than Doc Rivers and Ron Harper?

the knicks never had ron harper.

he's better than this guy though:

Sorry - Derrick Harper - if you did not pick that up yourself :-)

derek harper? that guy?

Ray Felton can't carry Derek Harper's jock strap. Harper was a great player for many many years in Dallas.

again, this is kinda the "we were one trade away..." fallacy. i always think it, too. i always want to think there's this one trade that will be the magic salve.

there usually isn't that one trade.

Thomas believed in the 1 trade theory thats why he kept stacking contract after contract on the roster. He just kept gathering players to try to package.

I wonder how many fouls would of been called had Charles Smith been on the Bulls

Yeah amnesty a guy that averaged 25 ppg the year before without playing a full season with Melo. Im sure Knick fans would of been fine with that. Even if they waited I still dont think the Knicks would pay Amare 100 million for 2 seasons.

Small ball lineup. AKA the beat the Heat lineup.

can't understand why guy are down on Felton. He played well on both ends of the floor and by mid season had the pick n roll down pat which, is why Melo said Amare is excited about his return. Amare is the real key to this season. I have been a supporter though this past season but, all bets are off if he doesn't return to Allstar form.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Exactly- people are taking their Lin frustrations out on Felton. We screwed Felton twice and he still wanted to come here. He took a pay cut the first time he was with us too. He really wants to be here and for $3.5 mil, that's a good deal for an average PG.

People don't seem to understand- if we're hell bent on not matching Lin, there are no other alternatives- we came close to being left with nothing at PG. Come on, give the dude a chance, it's not his fault Dolans wanting rid of Lin. He had a bad year, but let's give him a shot.

All things being equal, I would rather see Lin at PG than Felton but I do believe he genuinely wants to be in NY. Combine this with a no nonsense coach and a bad season I'm sure raymond wants to put behind him, and maybe we will see Felton doing a good job at point.

If Lin does come back at least it will mean more competition at PG and more options at SG. I get the feeling that if Lin does come back that he will be on a short leash by Woodson and mgmt. You might not think thats fair but I believe that's going to be the case. An employee doesn't piss Dolan off without suffering the consequences. Right or wrong.

going back to Felton's last season, I spoke to a few guys who watched him and they said he was solid in the beginning of the season, but then they slowed the game down and despite being a "thick boy" he likes to run.

Also, dude isn't fat, he just has one of those husky body types. Just like Melo has never been fat as a Knick or Nugget but, we can't seem to avoid the fat comments.

I bet most of the posters here are overweight, throwing rocks while living in a glass house.

It's good to see Felton back with the Knicks.

He had better srep up and bring it this season.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Maybe not fat but out of shape is a better word for Felton/Melo.

If Lin isn't matched, I want Felton to layoff the donuts and cupcakes and hit the ground running! Can't afford for him to get in shape during training camp or during the regular season.

Without Lin, Raymond Felton knows this is his team.

With Lin, Raymond knows he must earn minutes.

It's all good in the neighborhood.

Wouldn't someone who needs to earn his minutes have more motivation to show up in shape and not fat? A guy who likes getting into playing shape during training camp is not in the right mindset.
