I may seriously stop following this team until Dolan is gone. I was furious at how the D'Antoni situation was handled but understood that we were giving Melo every shot possible to succeed....

But after this....letting a top young prospect possibly walk for nothing (someone who saved our season last year)....this is not a smart basketball or business decision, it's an emotional one. Jeremy must have pissed off Dolan/Grunwald and yeah, he screwed up by going back to the Rockets to make the contract even tougher but we have mishandled this whole situation from the start. We should have signed Lin on our terms....you don't let someone as popular as Lin go get the market price because the market price is going to be ridiculous. That is why every smart basketball team re-signs their stars before they can hit the open market (see Spurs with Duncan, Celtics with Garnett, Rondo, etc.).....

This is absolutely ridiculous. It all comes down to relying on Jason Kidd and Ray Felton at this point and people honestly think that is more of a sure thing over Kidd and Lin?

I couldn't agree more. This would instantly become the biggest blunder in Knick history and that is saying something!

Yea, he's probably wallowing in self-pity trying to make sense of signing with the Knicks to backup and be a teacher to Lin, only to find out he's a backup to Raymond Felton. He said FML and went to the club. I feel for you Kidd.

Yeah, ****ing sucks for Kidd. Over/under or Kidd requesting a trade before season's end?

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

LMAO. Aside from the money, he signed here strictly b/c he wanted to be Lins mentor. Guarandamntee he will be pissed if we don't match Lin. IMO, that's piss poor business by the Knicks.

Gimme a break, man...Dont be so gullible. Dude came to NY because of the money. All that BS about mentoring Lin was all a P/R move.

I dont remember any other team offering this dude a 3 year contract.

As far as I know Dallas gave him the same offer and he chose us instead.

Multiple witnesses tell TMZ ... NBA star Jason Kidd appeared to be so drunk in the moments leading up to his DWI arrest ... that he had to be carried out of the club he spent the night partying at.

TMZ has obtained a photo of the all-star point guard being carried out of a club called SL East. Multiple witness tell TMZ that Kidd appeared "incredibly drunk" -- so much so that at one point he tried to hang from a club light and broke it.

According to the multiple witnesses, after being carried out by a few friends, Kidd got in his car to drive off ... despite protests from his friends. Kidd left the club around 1:00 AM and crashed his car less than an hour later.

Never mind about Lin.

Twitter lit up Sunday over Kidd’s antics.

“So Jason Kidd got a DUI and crashed into a pole,” one basketball fan tweeted. “He was never good driving in the lane.”

More jokes about drunken driving please! It's so hilarious, guys!

I guess he needed to kill someone before it becomes serious.

If a cop pulls you over and says, "Your eyes look bloodshot, have you been drinking?" Never say, "Your eyes look glazed, have you been eating donuts?"

Only one thing worse than a DWI: your jokes.

This is a good one JKP:

A policeman pulls a driver over for swerving in and out of lanes on the highway. He tells the guy to blow into a breathalyzer.

"I can't do that, officer, I'm an asthmatic. I could get an asthma attack if I blow into that tube."

"OK, we'll just get a urine sample down at the station."

"Can't do that either, officer. I'm a diabetic. I could get low blood sugar if I pee in a cup."

"Alright, we could get a blood sample."

"Can't do that either, officer. I'm a hemophiliac. If I give blood, I could die."

"Fine then, just walk this white line."

"Can't do that either, officer."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm drunk."
