Q: What's the hold up with Mike Miller? As much as I appreciate the guy, he's holding up $5 million a year that we could use on a free agent if he's not returning. -- Jorge, Miami. A: Only that's not the case. Either with retirement or "amnesty," Miller's departure merely would ease the Heat's luxury-tax position, not clear salary-cap space. The only way a Miller move provides an immediate benefit is if he were to be declared by the NBA to be out for the season following potential back surgery. That would give the Heat a one-time injured-player exception of half of Miller's 2012-13 salary to be used on a one-year contract this offseason. http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2012-07-08/sports/sfl-askira_1_joel-anthony-perimeter-rotation-erik-spoelstra http://www.sportsoverdose.com/nba/miami-heat

That's evidence that Miami is gonna get the exception? Some writer answering a question about a side bar on Mike Miller? Nowhere does it say anything about 1) Mike NEEDING surgery, 2) Mike GETTING surgery 3) Mike Miller being OUT for the full year 4) NBA deciding Miami WILL get an exception. The writer could have put any player into the slot answer and said the same thing. Like this: The only way a Baron Davis move provides an immediate benefit is if he were to be declared by the NBA to be out for the season following potential knee surgery. That would give the Knicks a one-time injured-player exception of half of Baron's 2012-13 salary to be used on a one-year contract this offseason. Apparently you are just going off on for no apparent reason. I did said "IF" he can't play for Medical reasons. go look back yourself I don't know what your problem is and what it has to do with you. You said there were no statements and articles about it and I showed you. This is a message board, everything we talk about is based upon "IFS" |

Cause neither have. And if they have, and you certainly posted and/or made an assumption that they have, please provide a link. Because you still have not. ![]() I think Prigioni will surprise people. He's a veteran, pass-first point guard from the Spanish league. And over there, they play a short season. So every game is like a playoff game. Let's go, you 35-year old rook!
