How do you go into the offseason and come away with Jason Kidd and that be a positive..Bibby was great for us last year..

He is 39. Mike Bibby became the mike bibby he is now at 33. Kidd was still dominant at 33

Kidd's shooting percentage was horrendous but he picked up a lot of steals- the Knicks need that with Shumpert out for a long time. Need some people to create turnovers. He's also big enough to go out there at the same time as Lin.

I don't get why people are ****ting on the pickup. It's not like we used the MLE on him. We needed a backup PG(meaning 15 min or so a game) in the worst way. He'll show Lin the finer points of running the point, and he garners respect from Amare and Melo as an all time great. How can you not like this move, especially someone of Jason Kidd's stature?

Kidd is 6'4 and a big stronger defender. Nice addition to shump & tyson to improve overall D

We BETTER match Lin and hopefully still add another piece like we were going to do in a S/T for Felton

In other word Felton and Camby is much better than Kidd only

Its terrible JASON KIDD IS 39 let that sink in. We gave him 3 years he will be 42 when his deal ends. Jersey sales will be good though

What does it matter that we gave him a 3-year deal? We are clearly on a 3-year plan with this. Won't be under the cap before 3 years is up so it has no effect on future flexibility. In 3 years this team will likely do a slight rebuild around Melo, Lin, and Shumpert.

Im sure your boy felton would have brought us to the finals. Kidd will be a good backup to lin and he can defend unlike nash. Im not saying its the best move ever but its all taht was left really. felton wouldnt work with woodson i mean look last year he was horrible

Bibby was okay, lets no overstate things. Regardless of the assist dip for Kidd last season(6) he can still run an offense way better than Bibby did or ever could. This signing will increase Chandler and Stat's offensive production regardless of how much work they do in the off season. We complained all last season about not having legit pg's, especially not having a back-up when Lin went down. Now we have 2, and one of the best back-up pg's in the league.
