Lin would have to really struggle to go to the bench. Im sure Dolan rather he be starting. I mean chances are he makes the allstar team. More money for Dolan

can't shoot a lick. but hopefully he's seasoned enough now to know he shouldn't be shooting unless it's a layup, he's WIDE open or the shot clock is running down.

otherwise his career FG% and 3P% numbers are brutal

i do like the other stuff he brings to the table.

Yes he was on my fantasy team. Nate wanted him to orchestrate and forget about scoring. Then Felton, crawfors and Camby got Nate fired. With the team depleted by injuries their new coach gave Felton the reigns and he put up some good offensive numbers for me. Luckily in NY he knows he doesnt need to score when he has melo, amare, lin, jr & novak to pass the ball to

Felton had an excellent month in April- McMillan was fired mid March. So obviously Felton did much better when he wasn't knocking heads with the coach. He should do well here.

If we get Felton, it ensures we get 48 minutes per game of solid PG play. This is something we were not getting last year.

Felton is 6'1 but he is a tough defender and takes pride in it and wearing the new york across his chest

Interesting. Could've sworn he was listed at 6'3" when we had him. Weird.

Anyway, whatever it is... I agree, he'll play defense and adds depth to our team. Lin + Felton means we're set at PG.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Unlike Amare who's still growing in height, Raymond is shrinking before our very own eyes lol.

The pre-all-star numbers are very bad for Felton. If he can put up those post-all-star #s, then he isn't anything special but was a very good bargain at $3 mil.

Not really a fan. How much are we going to pay him; is he going to be kind of in shape to start the season; is he going to bitch and moan when he's backing up Lin?

I agree but you have to realize the average NBA salary and thus the cost of an average player is around $5 to 6 mil. If you can get a guy for $3 mil who's just a little below average, then it's a good buy.

Can someone explain why we are signing a lower echelon PG in the league instead of a top PG outside in that Pablo guy? We just wined and dined him and now we are in the lead for Felton?
I liked Felton when he was here, but to get a great pass first backup PG that would teach Lin wonders, that is what we should be doing. Nothing against Felton, but I go for Pablo first.

Right, why sign someone who is 28yr old and averaged 17ppg and 9apg here when you can sign a completely unproven 35yr old who has never played in the nba before.

Felton had a poor season last year, in case you didn't realize so did most players on that Blazers team. He was very good for the Knicks and Nuggets the year before.

He's a better than average PG.

It's not a bad deal if he's invested in the team and doesn't cause problems like he has in Denver and Portland. I'm just not certain that will be the case.

Also, I still haven't read one thing about any teams being interested in OJ Mayo so it's possible his price is dropping low enough that we could get him for the full MLE or in the sign and trade that Hahn has talked about. It's probably a long shot but I'm holding out hope.

I am for this signing.
But, for the vet minimum....he can sit next to White and Weems at the end of the bench.

I don't believe adding another shoot first PG in Felton to go with our other shoot first PG in Lin is going to make this team anything but marginally better. I hear how it will be great to have Felton back again with Amare when he couldn't run the pick and roll with him the last time he was here. Felton got off to a good start as a Knick but as the season went on he called his number too much and made poor decisions on the floor. I don't know what pisses me off more, not getting a HOF PG in Nash or Kidd, or having Felton back as a Knick.
