#Knicks call Nash to set up meeting but still a pipe dream as Felton stands as more likely FA candidate

Told sign and trade with Phoenix not crazy. Would bump up Nash's salary a bit. But they'd lose couple pieces.

Nets should have made a run at Jeff Green instead of Wallace...Different position but cheaper and younger...

Someone said that Hahn reported that the Knicks could offer 6.1 in a sign and trade offering Douglas, Gadz, and Jordan. Since Gadz and Jordan are non guaranteed the team will save money by cutting them. If they did do this and Jordan get cut couldn't the Knicks resign him after a certain amount of days if he is not picked up?

Hibbert getting max contract offers WTF. He is not a max contract player hell I don't even think Chandler is a 12 mill a year player.

Hibbert actually has an offensive game. So he is worth more than Chandler but I too think he is not a max and Chandler is over paid. Then again you are worth what someone gives you. The teams have set the market for Hibbert so it is what it is. But if he is a max player what are Bynum and Howard? Super duper max.

now it looks like we are looking at a sign and trade with the suns which would give nash more cash however we would have to give up shumpert possibly so that would be no good

Including Shump is a deal killer for me. Of course, if left up to Dolan he will pull the trigger. Replace Shump with TD and I'm all good.

That's the Tyson Chandler deal. Seems more fair than the max. Miami had no answer for Hibbert for the first 4 games of that series.

So Dwight Howard is trying to force the Magic to trade him to the Nyets (again)and if they don't comply, through the union, he's claiming they "BlackMailed" him!? Blackmailed is a very strong (irresponsible) choice of word. Howard is a joke and is not getting killed in the media as much as he should....

ya giving up a 22 year old great defensive player for an older player even though nash is still good is very risky. the only thing that concerne me about shump is taht he suffered a very serious injury and i dont know if or when he will be back to normal

I think Nash might go to the raps for 12 mil. Brrman is the only guy I have seen reporting a sign and trade with the knicks

If he does get back to 100% it won't be until the 2013-2014 season but I'd rather take a gamble and go into wait and see mode then to potentially trade him and watch him blow up in Phoenix.

If Nash does got to the Raps it's all about money and he has no interest in ever winning a championship. I'd lose all respect for him.

Ken Berger ‏@KBergCBS
The Nuggets did not extend a qualifying offer to Rudy Fernandez, making him an unrestricted free agent, league source says.

If Herman is the only one reporting Nash to Knicks it's not happening.
