go for Goran Dragić!

If Dragic will come for $5mill, cool. I'm pretty sure he'll get better offers...

still not sold on him. Nash is older but the guy is still in great shape and he has played well in phoenix with basically nobody the last 2 years

the medical staff in phoenix has Nash and Hill sipping from the fountain of youth. i'm just concerned he's going to break down early in NY.

They won't be able to exceed that all seson for any reason including injury. That makes it very risky to spend the full $5M, which would likely be what it would take to get Nash. Kind of a bummer.

Larry Coon has said that a few times- but I don't remember them agreeing that in the cba. I'm probably wrong, but how come other teams with higher salaries than us (ie the Lakers) can sign FAs but we wouldn't be allowed to? Aren't we still allowed to sign players for the minimum salary and also draft picks?

wow...i cant believe this...i wasnt expecting this to happen!...i never thought id have a chance to say this...but GO GET NASH!!!..and odom!
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

This team is in win now mode and that to me says that we need Nash. Dragic is a very good player, but he's still learning. We need a PG that we know for a fact can lift a team and lead a team deep in the playoffs. Nash with the players we have could push us over the top IMO. He's in great shape and really plays more with his head than with some super athletic ability. He'll be able to play for a few more years at a high level. We can limit his minutes because of Lin and Lin can be mentored by the best!!!

Exacly despite what some people say we have a small window to get this thing rolling i'd say 2-3 years. Getting nash speeds up the process and we need to win now because amare is breaking down and who knows how much tyson can take since he puts his body on the lin all the time

I agree nalod and an even bigger no to rat allen. What a waste if the mle it would be tk sign another aging star only to have him blow out hus knee or back in year one and then collect from the knicks and count against the cap without ever playing another game. Sick of seeing these guys wearing their expensive suits on the end of the bench

Hey, if Nash can help Amare rediscover his game and at the same time give the ball to Melo in his sweet spot....

I'd like to have some size in the front court. A back up besides JJ and Jorts might be nice.

Injuries are going t happen. Tyson and Amare will miss games. JJ and Jorts are a big drop off.

Who could they appeal to? My understanding of arbitration is that it is supposed to be binding unless the arbitrator is not neutral.

I sure hope that's the case. But the League said they were going to appeal. I just hope that the ruling stands at the begining of free agency. If this takes a while free agents are going to run for the guaranteed money.

i just hope we dont get screwed. I know the NBA will appeal we know Stern hs used hi power to screw over people like the lotter, chris paul trade. It would be worse if this was taken away from us other than losing the case outright

Larry Coon says he *thinks ruling stands until or unless it's overturned. So we better get a lot done shortly after free agency begins if the appeal is still unsettled.

if the knicks are able to use their full MLE, I'd sign Jamal Crawford or Lamar Odom.

The NBA still has a soft cap, but you just get penalized if you've already hit the Luxury Tax Threshold. If you're over the 74 mil then you lose the $5 mil MLE and only get $3 mil. The Knicks seem to be in a reasonable spot cap wise:

Huge win! We shouldn't focus on PGs with this. We need a true SG who can shoot lights out. Ray Allen would be the first choice, but there are other guys like Bellineli and Courtney Lee that could also fit.
