The argument tips when half the dream team dispised him.

There is respect but flat out hate enought to exclude is pretty intense.

It adds up and Isiah got his payback.

I do feel bad for Isiah the player in this sense but he really did bring most of it on himself. There are still somethings I believe are not quite being made public. Just my opinion.

Stockton was very deserving of the position.

Lets not pretend his lily white looks and reputation did not hurt his chances.

I think Isiah could have been added over Drexler based on merit. We had enough fire power at the 2/3 and Magic could have played anywhere.

Lets be real, that team was going to destroy eveyone anyway.

Which is looking like total BS. Didn't he contract Aids AFTER Barcelona??? If so, Magic is lying about his reasons for not wanting Isiah on the team.

I know I took your quote slightly out of context but, he said the same thing during the documentary.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Time line is Magic HIV announcement was Nov 1991. This was after the dream team was announced but before the acutal olympics.

Its possible there was an injury and Isiah could have been added at any time after this.

Magic played in the all star game that winter and in the olympics. I have not seen the documentary yet but I recall many players were wary about playing with an HIV positive player in the olympics. Was that addressed in it?

Isiah's body of work would leave me to believe he could have been slimy enough to say or do anything. Spread rumors about magic? "Ask" questions about his sexuality? Sure.

Of course very few contracted HIV thru hetero activity so its a reasonable question but to what degree was he "asking"?

Maybe a broadway show "Magic and Isiah" will be in production soon?

It's so wierd for Isiah to call Magic "gay" after all the times they kissed!

I know. Im not sure I read it as him saying he was, but questioning how he contracted HIV. Isiah's brother contracted HIV and I think died. Im not sure and Isiah said he knew a whole lot about it so he felt like he could "ask".

Or was he trying to get Magic off and himself placed on the team?

Isiah is a scum bucket but there are some things IM not clear on about what was said.

The kissy thing? It was campy than and even more so now.
