Cant argue with that. Hindsight that plan wouldve been great. Fortunately Lin came along and saved our asses. Unfortunately it too til game #27 for mda to dust off lin & novak.
I agree but I don't think people knew Williams was available. Utah made out very well in that trade. FAvors is a beast, Harris looks good again and I know they got some picks. Deron is walking from the Nets. Knicks probably still have a chance of sending Melo for D-Will on draft night if the Nets know he is leaving for sure.

obviously the Fields spot would need to be upgraded, but that's not a bad start.

don't worry, Lin isn't going anywhere. ever. he's worth $500M in marketing deals and the ability to expand TV deals in asia. there is no way he'll ever be traded. and i'm happy about it, i like the kid.

my proposed trade was more about team makeup. but there's no way they trade him and certainly not to the nets.

the kid is a marketing goldmine. and a lock to be the all-star starter if he's on the ballot because of the china vote a la yao ming.

though i have a sneaking suspicion melo wants him gone.

Allstar weekend works by fan votes. Lin is a lock whether he sucks or not.

I always thought Yi was going to be a very good player. He has had a very disappointing career.

I don't think the organization wants to trade Melo. However, I think D-Will might be moved on draft night if the Nets know he isn't coming back. They have to do something. If the Knicks swap Melo for Williams does Williams reup without Melo in NY?
