And we have to stop with the retread slow as molasses vets. If we sign Antawn Jamison I think I would vomit.

Id bet the Knicks would look seriously at Jamison if he would be willing to play for 1mm. Hes a guy who can score/ rebound and switch 3-4 with a good body. We have Chandler in the middle--he already is the physical defender who can defend and rebound. Jamison Melo and Amare have good bodies strong enough to play well in a scheme d with Chandler and Shumpert in there. Again--Im looking for in house remedies--Im assuming J Lin will absorb the MLE--if he takes less--we have more options.

I think the only in house remedy is the draft. We don't even have a first rounder, do we?

Briggs- Bonn - I disagree- our backcourt with Lin & Shumpert has enough scoring punch, and honestly, question marks.

But while Chandler has been an anchor on defense, there have been a lot of games this year when we couldn't grab a rebound to save our life. Yes, thank you stat.

Lin, Melo & Chandler give you enough scoring punch to win. Stat is a bonus, especially if he were to come off the bench.

But what we need is someone to help Chandler grab boards. Look at our team stats- our point differential was 8th best this year, but rebounding - we were 16th at a -.88.

Teaming up players with what Iman and TC brings with 2-3 players would be crucial. However this injury with Iman is very uninfortunate because his abilty to improve and work ethic is now stalled. He not only wont be able to develop his game this off season but now his career to return with his athleticism, speed, and quickness are in jeapordy. It really sucks, because I believe we could have become a top defensive type team wih the right additions in the mold of Chicago and Memphis. I wish him the best but realize it is realistic that he will now need another year to 2 before he can continue his development of yesterday...

Knicks need to bite the bullet and package Amare, Chandler, and Lin and see who bites.

If Orlando was willing to trade Howard, Glen Davis, and Turkeyglue this summer for those 3 I'd be ecstatic. Neither Woodson or Phil Jackson require a prototypical PG in their offense anyway.

Shump will likely be a shell of his former until the 2013 season. So you cant really depend on him.

Then use the LLE to bring back Baron Davis.

You talking about rebuilding at msg? Haven't we been through this a million times before? Dolan refused to rebuild when we had a cancerous team of marbury, tim thomas, mo taylor, jerome james, eddy curry & steve francis. The only semi 2yr rebuild to get Lebron(not high draft picks) failed miserably. There's no way he is trading melo, lin, chander now

If you can't get Melo and Amare to play together then you move melo because he can be traded and we can receive value in return.

Other GM's know the gig with him so its no secret.

You'd trade Melo to a team that wants a star attraction to fill the building and does not have championship aspirations.

Duh, thats us.

LOL.

You keep Melo and go after Howard. Howard + Melo = Modern day Shaq and Kobe

We'd actually have an inside outside game and a low post player. WIN!

I can't fight for Amare anymore.

I thought I saw something when the team was 6-1 before he went out, but with all his rest he hasn't looked like half the player he was in that small window.

Amare's an offensive Center that rebounds poorly with no back to the basket game. He'll never accept a bench role, so we are at the mercy of the market when we move him this summer.

Jamison would be great. He still seems to have a lot left and always kills the Knicks. He usually makes Melo look bad as well.

I dont agree with any trades that include Lin Chandler Melo and Amaer UNLESS it was unreal or to good to be true. I do think we need another quality big--for example Speights and how he has played for Memphis. Im looking for continuity and improvement keeping our core players together. I think the best scenario is LIN taking LESS and leaving us with the full MLE and JR taking his 2.5 mm with a promise from the Knicks to exceed 5mm the following year. Then we could bring in a really good player + perhasp add a guy like Jamison for 1mm--I think thats best case.
