That's what we should be looking for in the draft. And we have to stop with the retread slow as molasses vets. If we sign Antawn Jamison I think I would vomit.
Id bet the Knicks would look seriously at Jamison if he would be willing to play for 1mm. Hes a guy who can score/ rebound and switch 3-4 with a good body. We have Chandler in the middle--he already is the physical defender who can defend and rebound. Jamison Melo and Amare have good bodies strong enough to play well in a scheme d with Chandler and Shumpert in there. Again--Im looking for in house remedies--Im assuming J Lin will absorb the MLE--if he takes less--we have more options.
I think the only in house remedy is the draft. We don't even have a first rounder, do we?
Briggs- Bonn - I disagree- our backcourt with Lin & Shumpert has enough scoring punch, and honestly, question marks.
But while Chandler has been an anchor on defense, there have been a lot of games this year when we couldn't grab a rebound to save our life. Yes, thank you stat.
Lin, Melo & Chandler give you enough scoring punch to win. Stat is a bonus, especially if he were to come off the bench.
But what we need is someone to help Chandler grab boards. Look at our team stats- our point differential was 8th best this year, but rebounding - we were 16th at a -.88.
