The only injury we had is Lin and now Shumpert.

Yeah just Shumperts torn ACL, Lin's torn meniscus, Chandler flu/wrist, Amare's bulging disc, BD's back and JJ's knee.

Other than that, we are pretty healthy

+1. sigh.

wish we could have a playoffs where we don't get injured and screwed up in game 1.

this is two straight years our best guard went down with a knee injury in game 1.

Amare's disc hasn't been an issue, Baron Davis sucks and he is worthless regardless of his injury, Jeffries is playing in the series and should only be used for 15 MPG anyway, Shumpert got injured in the 3rd quarter of a game we were down by 30, we were supposed to be a top 3 seed before the season before anyone knew who Lin was.

Chandler is the only legitimate excuse you can make for the game 1 embarrassment.

Are you expecting to win a championship with this current team? There will be no major changes to this team. This is our team. If we are going to get manhandled by the Heat now then what makes you think we'll beat them next year or the year after? Doesn't make sense to me.

There are NO excuses for the game 1 loss!

But if you don't thinks the knicks have been hit hard with the injury bug then you are disillusioned.

IrishKnick just stated that the Heat are lucky that we have so many injuries ...

That is going forward as well - we only played one game as far as I know.

Chandler might not play, Shump gone, Lin gone, Amare ok? I think not. JJ is not an issue?

Why do you think Amare is not OK? His disk issue seemed completely fine when he was dunking on people to end the season.

I can't tell how he is because he just came back and is out of the flow completely. Don't you think that is a problem? How are they suppose to mesh with him if they have not played together? IF HE IS FINE - which I am not sure that he is or if he is in good enough game shape. Dunking means nothing to me.

You can't be in fear of a catastrophic injury if the docs say he's fit to play.

Regardless, the boy is fragile. He could barely take the hits in the regular season.I doubt he will be able to take the hits of the Miami Heat-Playoff version.

The Heat don't hit. They flop. The most danger Lin would be in is getting called for a record number of offensive fouls whenever he drives the lane and the ref thinks he might hit the shot or get an assist.

Yes, I hate the Heat and their refs.

Lin's worst game of his career came against Miami when they pressured the heck out of him forcing a zillion turnovers. I don't know if returning this round is the answer. And now its worst cos we don't have Shump as a secondary ball handler

This would give a whole new meaning to "Linsanity". It has Dolan-type greed written all over it. Hopefully Jeremy's Harvard education has given him enough good sense to tell Dolan to STFU and GTFO.

See you next year Jeremy. Don't save us from ourselves this time around.

Okay, I understand your frustration from game 1, but maybe you forgot when Linsanity was introduced to the Miami Heat. Its like they couldn't wait for the game. They we're hungry. They shut him down, and shut him down early. Lin was destroyed by the suffucating and physical defense of another ROOKIE, Norris Cole. Then they threw Charlmers at him. I don't even want to remember if they gave him a taste of LeBron and Wade.....they probably didn't have to because he lost all confidence, was scared and turned the ball over everytime he touched it. He ain't ready for this again, especially coming off an injury.

Lin was dead tired in the Miami game. Even Barkley said he was giving him a pass. A healthy Lin can breakdown Cole and Chalmers, which would be what forces the Heat defense to adjust and gives opportunities to our shooters, Chandler and provides another "creator" option outside Amare and Melo. But this is a dream for another year. Unless we extend the series to a game 6, better to shut Lin down and make sure we have a healthy PG option for next year.

If we do extend enough to see Lin during this run, hopefully we don't see any "How does Lin fit in" chemistry threads <--sarcasm

Lin had a bad game but like you said he was dead tired since he playing basically the entire games for 2 straight weeks. No disrespect to chalmers or Cole but those guys didnt have to carry the load like lin had to when we had meloand Amare out

I think what he means is it's a very small sample size to say Amar'e is completely healed.
