Knicks coming out victorious will depend on:
1. Chemistry- we had better get it together NOW. They will look to stop Carmelo and get him frustrated. I don't see us pulling this series without chemistry and cohesion on the court. It can't only be the Carmelo Anthony show.
2. Limiting Turnovers- obviously Miami will destroy us on the break if we fail to take care of the basketball.
3. Intensity- we have to maintain and further amplify the intensity that lead to our 18-6 record over the previous 24 games. Defense!!!!
4. Half Court- it would be in our best interest to keep the game to a slow tempo and and not allow Miami to play to their strength.
5. Amare- I hope he can bring it. If not, we have no chance. With all the attention on Lebron and Wade, Bosh will get his 18-20 off mid range shots and lefty layups.
6. Wade- he is better than our whole team put together, just like Paul Pierce. Meaning; in the 4th quarter he will take over the game and will his team to victory by burying his jump shots, putting spin moves on us, getting to the basket, backboard banks shots. Make Wade pass the ball. We are screwed if we allow him to take over in the 4th quarter. Keep Shumpert on him like a "cheap suit" and consider double teaming him.

Last year, I predicted we would get swept by Boston. I think we will get swept or win one close game at best against Miami. I really hope I am wrong. As mentioned in another post, we have to win one of the first two games. The feeling of beating Miami and advancing would be similar to the 90's.

I had completely forgotten about us beating their arses in 7 games in 2000, but watching that clip makes me wonder- why the heck was the final shot taken by Clarence Weatherspoon?!

If I remember correctly, that's Jamal Mashburn with an open look but he had Chris Webber disease where he's terrified to take the last shot so he passed to Weatherspoon.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Without Chandler there is very little chance.

Douglas hurts us once again and he's not even playing.

Howard Beck ‏ @HowardBeckNYT
Tyson Chandler is improving, on his way to arena. Seems likely to play.

Frank Isola ‏ @FisolaNYDN
Tyson Chandler arriving on the 2nd bus and is expected to be playing with the first unit. (See what I did there?)

Jonah Ballow ‏ @jonahballow
Tyson Chandler is on the #Knicks bus on the way to the arena. Good sign but official word when Woodson speaks to media #NBA

Things looking good. Hopefully he's not hindered too much.

According to twitter, Tyson managed to eat this morning- he's going to work out, and see if he can play. Game time decision.

Al Iannazzone says be surprised if he doesn't play, Steve Popper seems convinced he will play too. According to Al, Here's how he looked:

Tyson is out shooting, warming up. Again, would be stunned if he doesn't play.

Definitely looks like Tyson is trying to conserve energy

Chandler just jogged off. looks beat. Prob will be limited if he plays

Every 'expert' has picked the Heat to beat us (predictions ranging from 4 to 7 games), except Chris Sheridan of all people. We're heavy, heavy underdogs. Here is his reasoning, if you need a confidence boost:

Ever hear that expression “‘I’ve seen this movie before?” Crazy things happened when these teams face each other in the playoffs, and I expect this year to be no different. The Heat have been a bad road team given the amount of talent they have on their team, and even if they win one at MSG, I can still see the Knicks winning two down in Miami. The pressure is all on the Heat. Nobody is giving the Knicks a shot (except colleague Jim Park). The Knicks have the 3-point weaponry to win four times. They have been a different team under Woodson, and J.R. Smith and Novak are going to be the keys for them. Carmelo has been playing out of his mind, too. I could go on and on, but when Game 7 arrives, the Heat are going to feel the pressure more than the Knicks will, and the Heat will wilt.

Then again he did list Jerome Jordan as a potential Rookie of the Year before the season began!

Don't count on it- in 1999 they bet against us every single round!

Berman of the Post just started a "Let's Go Knicks" chant with fans as several players, including Jeremy Lin, head to chapel
