This is Phil Jackson, one of the the top 5 coaches in the history of the NBA. He pushed Jordan, Pippen, Shaq, Kobe to their limits. That's not easy to do, granted he had the best talent, but when he speaks players listen. Woodson hasn't been to a conference finals, Phil has 10 titles. We are all in with Melo for a few short years and if this is ever going to work he needs to push him to the player averages 30pts 8rbs 4ass not the disengaged wannabe superstar we see half the season.
funny... I was going to say whoever Melo plays hard for.You cant expect to win or compete for a title always being a low seed. You need home court and easier first round matchups.
You dont get homecourt when your best player(s) dont bring it every night, so whatever keeps the chemistry cool is good with me. Woodson is fine with me. Just like the last 5 guys. Its the players.
I would like a coach who Melo and Stat MUST play hard for. Again, I am not sure why it is ok for Stat to not give max effort. But I guess you like him.
And again - I do respect you as a loyalist
I suppose PJax has enough cred that MeloStat will give it their all?
I mean really, if you can't bring it for an 11 time coach then its pretty sad.
Phil has a history of bringing greatness out of players.
Its not a sure thing we win but if Phil were to coach the Knicks he does it for three reasons:
1. He wants to live part of the year in NYC and enjoys the culture.
2. He actually believes in or prospects and players we have.
3. He wants the money.
I assume he has enough money. So I hope number two would resonate with him the most.
Its the big Starphuch for sure!
I'll give Dolan credit in one area, the little dude thinks big.
Woodson is a good choice and would hope Dolan gives him "The Herb". YOu know, that tenure to sit on the bench thru all the hiring and firing.
