Rumor has it......

Dolan will a $50,000,000 (thats 50 million folks) offer under his nose for him to ponder.

What do I think Phil will do?

Who knows?

He pushed Jordan, Pippen, Shaq, Kobe to their limits. That's not easy to do, granted he had the best talent, but when he speaks players listen. Woodson hasn't been to a conference finals, Phil has 10 titles.

We are all in with Melo for a few short years and if this is ever going to work he needs to push him to the player averages 30pts 8rbs 4ass not the disengaged wannabe superstar we see half the season.

funny... I was going to say whoever Melo plays hard for.

You cant expect to win or compete for a title always being a low seed. You need home court and easier first round matchups.

You dont get homecourt when your best player(s) dont bring it every night, so whatever keeps the chemistry cool is good with me. Woodson is fine with me. Just like the last 5 guys. Its the players.

I would like a coach who Melo and Stat MUST play hard for. Again, I am not sure why it is ok for Stat to not give max effort. But I guess you like him.

And again - I do respect you as a loyalist

I suppose PJax has enough cred that MeloStat will give it their all?

I mean really, if you can't bring it for an 11 time coach then its pretty sad.

Phil has a history of bringing greatness out of players.

Its not a sure thing we win but if Phil were to coach the Knicks he does it for three reasons:

1. He wants to live part of the year in NYC and enjoys the culture.

2. He actually believes in or prospects and players we have.

3. He wants the money.

I assume he has enough money. So I hope number two would resonate with him the most.

Its the big Starphuch for sure!

I'll give Dolan credit in one area, the little dude thinks big.

Woodson is a good choice and would hope Dolan gives him "The Herb". YOu know, that tenure to sit on the bench thru all the hiring and firing.

Yes. Maybe sad but true. And, what maybe max effort for one coach maybe completely unacceptable to another coach especially one like PJax.

Why do y'all keep saying he is too old? A 70-something year old man named Larry Brown just accepted a college coaching position. If PJax WANTS to coach the Knicks, if PJax WANTS to end his career in NY, then his age won't matter. If this was the Bobcats then yeah, I'd say he's too old but this is the Knicks. A team with 3 stars for a few more years. A team he has rumored to have interest in returning to. If he is motivated to take on this job, I wouldn't be too concerned with his age.

he has had back and hip injuries..........

The demands of the schedule and travel are tough.

Dealing with pain is exhausting and older guys get compromised by chronic pain.

If he is motivated and healthy his age is not a factor.

I doubt PJax accepts the job if he is not healthy which is why I'm not understanding the age concern.

Not your money nor against the cap.

Phil seems like a well thought out deep guy.

I think his legacy is pretty much in tact if he does not succeed in NY.

If he was that worried about it then I suppose he does not take the gig.

If he does win its big. How big? Mega ultra Starphuck big!

I am not worried about Jimmy's money, I am worried that the 10 million will entice him even if he is not healthy enough to coach.
