Get (cough) Real

You want real?
The only reason you cheer against Carmelo Anthony is because he scares the living daylights out of you. In the same manner Rush Limbaugh openly wants President Obama to fail, you desperately want Carmelo to fail. You despise everything from his appearance to his individual play. You cannot stand that he rocks your world with a smile.
It Carmelo's "otherness" that offends you. In your narrow minded, strip mall world, everyone looks the same and plays the same. "Playing the Right Way", by your definition, is playing like Adolph Rupp's University of Kentucky drones... that is, before they hit a wall against Texas Western and Don Haskins. You DO remember that game at Cole Field House in 1966, right?
You don't?
It was the day the hoops superiority paradigm changed forever. It was the day that five from nowhere defied the norm and defeated the more popular five who were entitled to the championship.
Get real?
Sure, we can get real.
We can get real an accept the fact that the Knicks players (and fans) do not miss Mike D'Antoni one bit. There have been no candlelight vigils, no Irish wakes and no seances. The gnashing of teeth that proclaimed Linsanity as RIP has been replaced by a reluctant acceptance that the team is more cohesive, determined and resilient with Mike Woodson at the helm.
Mike Woodson challenged his star to do what he does best and the star welcomed the added responsibility. It ain't that deep.
Let's get real and allow all the space you need for personal bias. It's cool. This is a free country and a free forum. No one should be forced to think the same way as any so-called "majority" or "minority." Right? So bring on your "get real" MarburyandOne.
Let's deal with it. Please, tell us what "get real" means in plain english. However, I seriously doubt that you can share the root cause for your bias in an honest manner.
Get real?
indeed.
