Sorry that you feel you have to back posters that root against their own team and players to push their own agenda. Some how that just doesn't make any f&cking sense, especially after one of the biggest(if not) wins of the year.

Sad but true. I can see why it wouldn't make sense to some. But this isn't about one poster it's about the overall tone of the forum recently. Everytime someone criticizes Melo there are a thousand posts ridiculing him for expressing an opinion.

Why yes, yes I do. I don't go in on everyone with a divergent point of view but there are a few trolls here that I honestly feel are not real Knick fans & are just here to stir up controversy. So for those select few, I feel it's necessary to skip the niceties of civil decorum & just call them what they are "A-Hole's with an agenda"

Well, I think there's a bunch of people here who are so deeply obsessed with Melo that they don't give a **** about the Knicks either. So the feeling goes both ways. Let the mods weed out the trolls?

That's the thing. People keep focusing on the bad streak of games (which could have been avoided if the coach was flexibile). Melo is balling his heart out for you guys. The team is balling their hearts out. And yet, some refuse to acknowledge it. Some say "too small a sample size". Some say "Knicks are only 2 games above .500". Some say, "Man what I wouldn't give for some Gallinari mayonaise". Just a cesspool of negativity. AND THE KNICKS ARE 11-3 during the Woodson ERA!!! SMFH at all the negativity, especially considering where we came from in a month.

I love the effort, absolutely. But that is not a precondition for unquestioning love and adoration for Melo or any other player. The effort should be there every night we shouldn't have to corona te him for playing like he cares. This what is expected of all professionals. that doesn't mean every criticism is borne out of hatred. We all want this team to win, in our different unique ways.

Fair enough. But can we just do the "Eye Test" right now? Melo is locked in. The team is locked in. What is their to criticize? Why bring up the past? You definitely don't want to go there...(3 years no playoffs until a certain player arrives).

What have I criticized Melo for recently? I have been giving him props for playing well. Only criticism I have now is of Woodson's handling of the offense.

Who will orchestrate? BD is a shell of himself. Shumpert is a shooting guard. Toney D could not make a clean entry pass. Bibby has one foot in the grave. Tell me, how you would run this "magical" offense without your starting point guard?

Okay man. Actually bothered that some fans didn't see what most Knicks fans saw yesterday. A great, clutch performance by a star player, when they had to have this win. And then to see comments about "where was this in the beginning of the year". Just annoying. People want to criticize just to criticize I guess.

Even if that were true, it would probably be because of the incredibly acidic & acrimonious attitude that many fans have developed towards players on their sports teams. We get to cheer or boo for what happens on the court not place demands on them off of it.

I did have a point when I originally posted but unfortunately it was hijacked by an A-Hole with a anti-Melo agenda!!! However I do find it hilarious that a person with the nom de plume "Low IQ" is asking about "idiotic" threads

A-hole with Anti Melo agenda? Does that mean everything you post is a pro Melo agenda? Why do you need to taunt people who disagree with you? Now don't get me wrong- I taunt people too from time to time in the heat of an exchange. But I think this anti - pro BS is becoming systematic and pervasive and making this board unreadable.

An exchange of ideas or even criticism of a player does not always have to end with one side capitulating to the other. There is a lot of people with very different viewpoints but we ARE Knicks fans, otherwise we wouldn't be posting here.

I think all the losing years when you combine layden, isiah & dantoni has deprived some knick fans of the ability to enjoy anything positive because in the back of their mind the roof will collapse again. It's some sorta psychological adverse effect that only time can cure

That makes no sense. I don't know one person who roots for Melo over the good of the team. Not even the newer fans. I've never met a fan like that outside this forum either

Absolutely well said.

Marburyand1 fears being chased down a dark alley by a smiling Carmelo.

Spooky stuff
