another benefit of melo playing the 4 is that fields is playing his natural position - he's a 3.

Yup, no MSG or ESPN here. It is great to see the pride in defense again. Melo at the 4 is looking pretty sweet. Nice to see Fields at his natural position too.

Man, Melo is a GREAT PF. I hope Amare is used as a 6th man if/when he returns. The worst thing the team could do is put Melo back to SF.

they've been number 1 by far since woodson took over. JVG was trying to be diplomatic, but it's woodson.

also, i hate to say it - but they're much better defensively with amar'e out.

and fields being able to defend 3s instead of 2s is a big plus as well.


i really hope they bring amar'e off the bench when he's ready to come back. i know it won't happen, but he kills the d.

I didn't know how this was gonna work when we started going with this lineup, but it really works. Melo is locked in and teams can't seem to find a good matchup at all. Also having Shump out there is a huge key to matchup with Rose.

Our D is rocking right now. Tyson and Shump both playing elite D. Melo playing unselfish. Looking really good.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!
