Field's line Last night:

20 mins: FG 1-6, ZERO FTs, Pts 2, RB 1, A 3

meanwhile, Shrump and Smith had 12 and 9 pts respectively in similar minutes, on 50% shooting. And better defense.

Scored 1 point yesterday, while JR and Shumpert scored 40.
Now that MDA is gone, I expect this to happen.

Yeah, I think the best backcourt for Woodson might end up being:

PG Baron
SG Shump

I agree, Davis looks healthier with each passing game and playing smarter. Shump's offense is looking more stable.

Shump can't shoot, JR is struggling but looks back last night.

I figure we'll trade Fields and Lin for Jason Richardson and a late 2nd rounder soon enough.

YOu can never have enough "talent"!

JR is streaky. Have enough offense in starting five need bench scoring. Shump starts at SG for Woodson and Fields backup SF or out of rotation

This is about business to think that Lin is not bringing in business is just being blind. Dolan is about $ and he will make sure Lin brings that to the Garden.

big Fields fan but I don't think he'll be a fit with what Woodson will do. COuld be wrong, but doesn't seem like a fit

no, Fields should be in the rotation. backup SF is perfect spot for him.

I would run:

PG Baron
SG Shump
SF Melo
PF Amare
C Tyson

Bench: Lin / JR / Fields / Novak / Jeffries / Jorts

On paper that is just sick to trot out a bench like that. Hope Woodson can figure this all out.

I wouldn't start Baron because if his back tightens or he leaves in the offseason the starting unit will need to recreate continuity with Lin. Lin is just learning to play with Amare & Melo and will only get better. Lets think about the future. Whatever happens this year next year you want the Knicks to come out strong out of the gate. No reason to start Davis. Let Lin continue to improve

I could beat Fields in a game of horse...as long as dunking was disallowed!

Cosign

I would move LF to the bench for Shumps. He would have more space to rebound and drive, having a greater chance of having those 14pts 10 rebs games.

I know you might be joking but I think people do not realize how well some players shoot outside of the games. I remember the all-star horse game with Rondo and Durant and Rondo was hitting every kind of 3 there was with ease.
