The Tale of The Tape

Lin > The Old man, advantage three point shooting, but Lin has the crowd noise.

Fields/ Shump < Kobe, Black Mamba tried to drop 40

Lupe Fiasco < World Peace, crazy good for the entertainment value, expect some rough stuff

Jeffries < Gasol. THE Key matchup. You heard it here first

Chandler > Bynum, will play to a standstill, with lots of collisions, If Chandler goes for 20+ Knicks win. Guaranteed.

Novak. Needs to go off again for 19.

The watermark is 25 assists. Five guys in double figures. Go crazy people.

Hit the open man.

Lin gonna have trouble going to the rim if one of Bynum, Gasol there to protect.

Foul trouble with bigs will be key for both teams.

"YES... AND the foul"

Lin will pick his spots. Expect open jumpers early. Hopefully, the slow start (3-22?) vs the Wizards will not be a repeat.

Novak needs to take (and make) the shots Bill Walker was bricking.

I would have to disagree. Javale McGee, who averages 2.9 blocks per game, could not keep Lin away from the lane. The Nets had Petro and Humphries averaging 2.9 and 1.2 blocks per game and Humphries actually had 4 blocks in that game also could not keep Lin out of the lane.

Lin will have these guys so out of balance when he penetrates that Lin will continue his success.

Is that an oxymoron? Lin is better with advantage to 3 pt shooting?

I wouldn't mind seeing Jordan going in to spell Chandler and getting the ball a few times in the post. He has the moves.

I'd like to see Jordan try to draw some fouls from the bigs, maybe get a few points, and give a little more space for the shooters to operate. Last game Jordan was running around the perimeter for the most part on offense.

We need Jerome's height but I think he will struggle with Bynum. He does not have the strength to fight Bynum in the paint.

McGee was guarding Tyson, who was constantly part of the PnR, so that means he was out high and Booker was left protecting the rim, far cry from the likes of Gasol rotating over.

I agree Jordan will have his hands full. I'm mainly interested in getting Bynum in foul trouble. Hard to do that if Jordan is avoiding the paint.

This is CRAZY.

No Melo, No Amar'e.

And yet I am more excited about this game than I probably was for the first Miami-NY matchup last season. I literally cannot get anything done at work.

You guys see this **** in Berman's article today?

When Jeremy Lin used to enter the Garden during his first weeks as a Knick, arena security didn’t believe he was a player. They mistook him for one of the trainers. Lin had to talk his way through the player’s entrance, according to his agent Roger Montgomery.

The way the Knicks compete is with our speed and spread offense. We force the Lakers to guard the whole floor and then attack them with the quickness of Lin and Tyson. Both Bynum and Gasol are big slow giants compared to our players. If we push the tempo I don't think they'll like it. That's how I think we can beat them. Just buzz round them like a hornets nest. Speed Kills!!!
