I like shump a lot but his defense is getting overhyped much like douglas' has. Lin has quick feet, good technique, and is alert. He looks like a very good defender. He was cutting off deron consistently every drive.

Not sure if anyone noticed but lin had an assist where he drove and dished to Jeffries where he "CAUGHT THE BALL AND DUNKED" the way a 6'11 professional bball player should. Lin also has great chemistry with jordan. Looking forward to tonights game.

If we can sign JR or even some other players from NBDL (Morrow) type player I am all for it but so far we are stuck with TD, Walker...Bibby

The biggest reason to bring Shump off the bench is because he is the only player we have other than Lin who can play backup PG minutes. But A Lin/Shump backcourt is interesting defensively

Jorts will be back sooon

exactly let them develop our young players for once. No need to trade guys like jordan, lin, jorts, shump, fields like we've done in the past. We have the big 3 and the cheap high ceiling developing young talent. Just add a shooter like JR and we're set. Especially when Shump and Lin develop consistent jumpshots

Gustav- sheesh, forgot all about Jerome. Wouldn't it be a hoot if it turned out that he can play a lick too?

What are the chances of making two roster discoveries in one week?

Yeah it would. He looked good in garbage time, hopefully Jordan will get more PT against better players. This mix shows he has a post game and can play D.

I'm All In on Jeremy Lin and have been from the very beginning but what's the point of pushing Lin into the starting lineup after just one game of significant minutes? The only reason to do this is to pander to the fans who are chanting for Antoni to be fired and to Dolan who might be close to firing him. Lin should be brought along off the bench, playing significant minutes as needed. This is desperation and is setting Lin up for failure.

I don't disagree with you at all. This is the NY Knicks and is one of the main reasons we haven't won in decades. Coaches don't just coach here. They coach without support and constantly in survival mode. Lin had a great game and should be on the bench having his minute determined by how he is playing that night in order to protect him. Instead we are going to throw him out into the steaming, festering cauldron of MSG. Let's hope he's one of the rare ones that can handle it.

I just hope that people will like me

d'antoni said he started lin becuase he thinks it'll be less pressure on him. if the team went down by 7 in the first quarter and he came off the bench, everyone would think here comes the savior.

makes sense to me.

Yeah, no pressure starting at point.

That's just Antoni opening his mouth and saying nothing. As usual.
