I agree with Martin and Fishmike. KMart or Evans would be great and bring that tough presence that will help spell Amare and Chandler.

I'll be ecstatic if we get either of them.

Kmart would make sense. He was pretty solid last year. He plays better in the uptempo system with a solid center and PG that can create.
He is a little undersized but as a 2nd unit player, hes a good fit. We can't really ask for much more with 2.5m at this point.
While he isn't a strong rebounder or great at anything, hes athletic and does a little of everything.
Although I would prefer Ak47 over Kmart, I realize we need as many bodies as we can for this shortened season.

With a championship on the line I got to.start thinking of ppl who might not get a backlash for winning a title. Kmart dont fit, but Regie Evans does. Please correct me if I am wrong

Even though Evans dirty deeds might not be called for on this team here

Kmart would be a great addition if healthy.

Question is money, ego, and playing with Melo. Do they like/tolerate each other?

Kmart has made a ton of money in his career, I just wonder can he stomach being a bench player.

We'd be old for sure but very deep.

I think I would be happier is KMart never wears a Knick uniform. This is like the Mets getting Glavine. Not a Met fan, but even I was disgusted by that one.

He is an obnoxious dude for sure but to me the time he was a Net we deserved any beat downs the Nets gave us. While I rooted for them to win in their trips to finals it was really non-dramatic and I was more a causual observer than anything.

Kmart to me was part of that Denver fool squad of boneheads featering (perhaps not all at the same time) the ink laden AI-JR-Melo-SmackBirdMan and the underacomplished Karl. Georgie Boy's health problems have mellowed him some and he is perhaps a better coach but I was not a fan of those Nugg teams. Better Nets than SPurs or Lakers.

And I can't say I was a big fan of Melo either.

I am working on Melo and I suppose if I can accept him I can accept KMart. He may be a fool but he'd be our fool. Sometimes the Villian matures and you appreciate his warrior mentality in the orange and blue.

If he does good and we win, its all good, right?

IMO, KMart is a locker room cancer and a coach's nightmare. That rep hasn't followed him around all these years for nothing. Even on the other side of the world, he's spazzing out to the point where the Chinese team wants to be rid of him.

We're building something special here, and don't need the negative drama that dude usually brings.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Portland has waived Earl Barron.

Not sure I like the idea of KMart on the Knicks. He is old, seemingly an injury risk every season, and doeesn't add much besides attitude to our bench. Hoping we can do better. Would be great to land Reggie, but BigCats just said he's gone.

At least we are no longer looking at Poser... erm, I mean Posey.

I do wonder what his issue is- he played okay for us, then refused to re-sign for the following season. Then no team picked him up for months, then he bounced between teams and now, on a Blazer team that needs PF/C for the bench, got cut. He's not that bad of a player, is 6 10, you'd think he could find some sort of role in the nba- it leaves me thinking he must have some sort character issue.

Let's be honest, there really isn't anything out there at the moment that could help us- we need a backup PF/C and there isn't one- it's a real worry if Stat gets injured.

+1
Don't quite get the connection to Glavine, but then, I stopped paying attention to the Braves in 1996 or 1998 or whatever year that was when the Yankees first beat them...

Isn't Dalembert still out there? Are we so comfortable with the backup 5's we have?
