I don't understand how he doesn't work on his handle and shot in the off season. And of he does, I don't understand why it doesn't show.

Well, says he's tough inside but also has a nice outside perimeter game.
With that said, he looks slow and overweight.

He looks horrible. He's not gonna play. He needs to take the time and do extra work to get in shape in season just in case his number is ever called

He def does not look NBA ready - I thought they took him because he could get in and bang a little but he looks like a project to me.This is where not having SL is going to hurt the rooks.

At least Shump is in shape and looks like he can play.

Also, he doesn't look that much taller than Melo.No way he's 6'10".

Landry fields shot still looks flat. His mechanics still suck

I was just thinking, how quickly does Shump replace Landry as the up and coming young player.

There is something about Fields I just am not that high on. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what he did in the first half of last year but he really dropped off. I hope he can pick it up but he does not have the fire in his eyes like Shump.

Amare looks bigger but that means he is heavier...might not have the same hop....he's already talking about letting Tyson getting the rolls and lettinggb him play the perimeter....I dunno how all this plays out

Yeah, he might say its no longer a problem, but that Melo trade really affected him.

lol @ Jeffries... He'd better keep working at it.

He's been working at it for damn near 10 years!

LMAO Sho'ya right, ENY. All we can do is hope that he hits the few shots he takes, and attempts as few shots as possible.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

My God, I can't believe we are paying this guy. All the years he's been in this league and people still have to warn him about shuffling his feet?!

I see some hustle out of Jorts - he may not crack the rotation but he is a good practice guy. They need to get him on a treadmill.

So how does having Amare, Melo, and Chandler affect the role players? Do they step up their game?

On teams live the Mavs everyone works really hard - we need this Knicks team to be hustling at every position. I hope their winning work ethics rub off on the rest of the team.

I think the benefit of having two superstar scorers is that it takes pressure off of the role players to create offense. They can just react and try to capitalize on shots the stars and system creates for them. I think a lot of guys we have can thrive in those roles.

Similarly, I think Tyson is basically a defensive superstar and allows guys to react off him defensively and again their jobs get easier. So that's good.

Also, I'm really excited about the player Shumpert can be. I think he might be our third leading scorer behind the big two. And his competitiveness/defensive effort seems off the charts.

I believe that having better players around you makes you elevate your game.
I think that Amare, Tyson and Melo will have a huge effect on two players...TD and Shump.
I think that Fields with his high BB IQ is smart enough to figure out where he fits in...but it will take time.

A lot of guys missed today, not just Landry. It might take a bit for these guys to get back into that.

Balkman is barely taller than me, and I am 6`4". I know bc I stood next to him once.
