Breaking: Knicks lose another one. Shawne Williams, according to a source, decides to sign with Nets

CRAP@!!!!!

guess we can go sign Maurice Evans now.

ugh. he seems redundant with Fields.

i think we need a guy who can back up Amar'e.

Carl Landry?

Jorts/Jeffries. Hopefully we get Baron so we don't have to rely Amare & Melo's offense if one of them misses time

nice try. in response to picking up Shawne, you said:

NJ has gone too far! First it was that damn billboard, and now they're stealing our Williams! Damn you Prokhorov - you just lost my vote!

Sad to see Shawne go. Certainly not irreplaceable, but he's a guy you can't help but root for.

Reggie Williams anybody?

Really now? Yes, practically worthless as in, wont play at all. And he didn't play for the first 20 games or so...at all. Ewing Jr would've been worthless as well, but for nostalgia's sake he was the pick.

I hate when people try to throw things in people's faces that aren't really there. You don't have to throw anything at me. I own up to anything and everything. That is, when I am actually wrong. And not to be a tool, but many things I've said in the past haven't been wrong. But when they are, I admit my mistakes. So, there's no need for this. You're not proving anything by pulling up a post where I am arguing over two "scrubs" (and that's what Shawne was at the time, unless you were Nostradamus and predicted this output) and why I'd take one scrub over another.

Was I wrong about Shawne? Yes. But I don't many saw it coming either. Not even Walsh.

i did it for humor sakes. found it funny. still find it funny. and please don't type up another long response. that would be a true "waste of time." it's not that deep. we will all miss Shawne. oh well. time to move on.

I love it when guys talk about being on a contender as more important than the money, yet they always take the money. Not that Shawne has talked about it, but this really seems to me like a Barea case. He found out he could cash in big time and chose the biggest contract over the best chance to win.

I know many liked him, myself included, but if 1.5 mill were more important than returning to a Knicks team with better chances at a tittle than last season, so be it. And to those blaming the wait on Craw, remember that this is a business and if there is a chance, no matter how small, to get a talent like Craw for 2.5 mill, you have to do it.

Shawne, enjoy the Nets, if that is even possible.

Reggie signed a 2yr deal with Charlotte Bobcats.

Also, Nets love to sweat the Knicks. They'll put in a claim on Baron Davis. BOOK IT.

Missing out on Shawne really sucks. He filled the position we really needed, much more than Jamal. A mobile, tough SF/PF. Amare already stated that he won't be playing all 66 games. He'll need to sit out some. Who is going to play PF and back-up PF? We better sign someone soon.

Shawne Williams should have been more grateful to the team that salvaged his career by taking a chance on him. I hope he's booed next season at MSG.

Whatever. Time to get Mo Evans.

That dude rally went with the Nyets? What a fool.

Later for Shawne Williams. If he doesn't want to ride with us, let him rot with the Nyets, and he'll get steamrolled along with the rest of that subpar, wannabe-Knicks team. He's the enemy now.

This Knicks should not have wasted any time mulling over Jamal, whether or not Shawne was even being considered. No use wasting time crying over spilled milk, though... The Knicks just need to go out there and sign another player BETTER than Shawne Williams, which is still very possible.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Beck saying the Nyets may amnesty Travis Outlaw, who I would actually love for this team. He's a good hustle/defense guy who can run. Just got way overpaid by Proko.

Another name for Knicks to consider: Travis Outlaw, assuming he gets amnestied by Nets. Easy move across the river. He's already got his $

We can't have Balkman playing. It's just not an option. We need Mo Evans.

Who are the other SF free agents left? Fuck, I'd even give Peja minutes before Balkman.
