If this is true, I gotta say Im ok, not thrilled, about this. The truth is the Nicks needed cap space from Turiaf, so he wasn't going to bring a PG in return.

Second, the Knicks are half veteran, half young team, and we were sorely lacking a veteran PG, especially with Iman on the team.

Third, we needed anything close to a pure PG and while I agree that Arroyo would've been a better option, he isn't a true PG like Bibby.

Fourth, we can't forget we still have MDA as a coach and we need guys to shoot the three and Bibby can still do it at a high percentage.

Since TD is really a small 2, I think we still need another PG...

Bibby can't defend, so my guess is that he's not here to log heavy minutes. Why weaken the D when you have better defensive options known to play D?

Mike Bibby is going to be on the bench because he doesnt play defense and only shoots 3's? You do know Mike D'Antoni is our coach right?

Mike Bibby is finished. I saw him in the playoffs last year and he is TERRIBLE.

Hahn said a Mike Bibby decision wasn't expected until after the weekend and its not only us in the running for him.

In other words, there is a good chance we dont get him. :)

we're gonna get killed defensively with this move.

nash has to be coming next year. that's obviously the move, but he'll be ancient.

They cut him to keep House. 'nuff said.

Two years younger than Billups, not as much of an injury risk, getting the league minimum instead of 14+. Might be washed up but not a bad signing imo. His season fg percentage was actually pretty good, played like sh!t in the playoffs but lets not say he cant contribute anything to this team. With 100 playoff games under his belt and playing under Mike D, he could be a good fit.

On board with most everyone. Not excited about this, and actually a little worried. I could see hanging his offense on him a la Duhon, playing him way more than he needs to. Toney & Iman, that's who I want to see out there for significant time... at least while we are on this side of the trade deadline.

Mike Bibby's only purpose should be tutoring our young guards. I dont want him playing a minute on the floor in a real game.

Good pickup... Saavy veteran who can really stroke it and he will take care of the ball.

agree, this scares me. MDA is in win-now mode though so hopefully he will just play the best players and not stupidly play vets over rooks like he did in year 1. (duhon over douglas; jon bender over jordan hill, etc). please please please have douglas be the starting PG. give me hustle D from baseline to baseline instead of bibby's "matador" D to quote clyde.

I like the pickup. He's a veteran winner. He may not even be close to the player he was with the Kings, but he never was the fastest, most athletic, most creative PG... (nah, that went to his contemporary, Jason Williams!) but he was effective for years. Perhaps he can impart some of his sensibilities to our your PGs.
