Plus, when they read childrens books to little kids, it's obvious they are willing to do that all day. There are never any looks of fake fun or hidden pain anywhere. It's just a beautiful, beautiful thing to witness.

If we lost a bunch of the players they'd be replaced too and basketball would continue to exist. We might take hit in quality without the Lebron's and Howard's of the league but the gap would be filled. Games would be exciting. Players would still hit big shots and make stops. The players are just as replaceable as the owners.

They're all still getting endorsement checks and every single one of those guys could choose to never work again and still be fine for the rest of their lives. Owners of any business are in business to make money. I freaking hate the argument that the players are the brand and people come to see the players. True but if it weren't for the owners and the league existing in the first place they're wouldn't be players to watch!

You really believe that? You really think that if it wasn't for James Dolan, David Stern, and the rest of the crowd that Lebron, Wade, and Howard and the rest of the players would be packing groceries or flipping burgers? Of course not. There would be a different set of owners and a different league. The owners and the league itself are replaceable. The players aren't. It would be hard but not impossible to replace the owners and the league itself. It would be impossible to replace the players now.

All your impassioned arguments have opened my eyes. Thank you Nixluva and others! I now devote myself fully to defeating David Stern, the four horsemen of the apocalypse and the rest of the NBA owners! Join the good fight....just let them play!! That's all they are trying to do

Really, where's the different league now? It so easy that the players should start their own leage right? It has taken the NBA a long time to get to the point they were at. It's all gone to crap now because the players want to tell the owner what to do.
