Because we overpaid for Amare. We way overpaid for Melo in the trade. We also way overpaid to get rid of Jared Jeffries' contract in 2010 (another IT/Dolan getting involved situation) and ultimately IT/Dolan undermined a great GM who came here to fix the mess IT/Dolan made.

I like Amare and I like Melo. That isn't the question. It is "How" we got them and at what cost.

The Knicks gave up assets and basically that's what they're for! If you overpay at least let it be for proven talent. Besides this team is actually none the worse for having just given up a good bunch of young talent. However let's remember that it wasn't a bunch of All Stars we traded!!! Let's keep a little perspective. Yeah Isiah is a jerk but it doesn't make me like STAT and Melo any less.
