I'd like him, too. But the Knicks never even worked him out.

And if Detroit is thwarted in getting Biyombo at 8 by Charlotte at 7, I think they might take Burks. He'd be a good Rip Hamilton replacement.

What are everyone's thoughts on J Bilas?

This guy annoys me - he says every guy in every draft is fantastic - is he just hedging his bets?

We really didn't work Burks out? So if he is there at 17 we could easily pass him... Im not liking this...

I don't know.....I think I'd rather have Kemba than OJ to tutor under Billup and learn to be a PG.

OJ Mayo is a big guard who is similar to Billups in style of play. I think Mayo's issue this last season was he bulked up to guard SG's since Lionel Hollins basically told him he was playing SG indefinitely.

The guy is very athletic and is a great passer. Lucky for us he doesnt fit with what Memphis is trying to do.

all i know is that he was more awful than TD in Summer League playing PG.

OJ Mayo played a whooping 2 summer league games at PG. Come on now.

OJ issues also center around the fact that he has trouble penetrating in the half court, his defense is shaky and his passing has been so-so. I think it speaks volumes that Grievis Vasquez, a rookie, was able to win over the backup point guard slot rather easily.

The Bucks, Kings and Bobcats have a three-way trade, sources have confirmed.

Milwaukee will acquire Stephen Jackson, Beno Udrih, Shaun Livingston and the 19th overall selection.

Charlotte will acquire the No. 7 overall pick as well as Corey Maggette. They will keep their own pick, the No. 9 overall selection. The Bobcats are now in position to draft Tristan Thompson ahead of the Pistons, who own the No. 8 pick.

Sacramento will acquire the No. 10 overall pick from Milwaukee, as well as John Salmons.

More players may be added to the deal at a later date.

He was a gritty player and still grates on my nerves at times. Pretty knowledgeable about the game. I'd rather hear Sir Charles if I want to someone be a fool. He wears the hat well. Bilas doesn't so much analyze as pass judgement I think.

I remember reading somewhere that we wanted to work him out but he refused (possibly due to injury)? And is Donnie even running this draft? If he's not, do we have any idea who is?

Word is that it's Donnie's last hurrah. Unless something wierd happanes, I see Donatas Montejunas with pick # 17. Hand me that Kool-Aid.

That would be like picking Frederic Weiss all over again.

Ken Berger of CBS has posted a new Twitter message saying that Bismack Biyombo is the target for the Charlotte Bobcats at their newly acquired No. 7 selection slot in the 2011 NBA Draft. If that’s true, it would cement the NBA’s recent extension of a green room invitation to Biyombo to join the live proceedings at the draft — something the NBA only does with likely lottery selections.

Chad Ford says Biyombo can deliver size and toughness in the paint from day one on the court, which is obviously something any NBA team can use. However, the Bobcats could definitely use someone of Biyombo’s talents, considering they’re employing Kwame Brown and Joel Pryzbilla in the middle. They have Tyrus Thomas at the four, but he still can’t get over the 20 minutes a night hump and D.J. White hasn’t fully developed either.

If the Bobcats can also add Tristan Thompson at the No. 9 slot, the Bobcats entire frontcourt would be remade in impressive fashion.

Bye bye Biyombo...

Thought it didn't start till 7? Draftexpress has Irving as #1 and the program hasn't started. I miss an announcement somewhere?

Did we seriously have a chance at a guy invited to the green room when piling at #17? Come on.

So many people are crossing their fingers, rubbing rabbits feet, praying, lighting candles - you name it - this board does it eery year on draft night. I love it and I love the optimism but is it really a surprise when players don't fall or our most coveted pick goes right before we select?

There's a slew of other links at http://myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=120981&part=sports if there's any trouble with that one.
