Do you agree with that statement? If so, how does it affect your fandom?
I agree. A Dolan-run team cannot win a title. Makes being a fan pointless.
I agree. A Dolan-run team cannot win a title. However, I'm still a fan regardless.

In case you didn't realize, you thought both of those things I just mentioned.

Do yourself a favor and come back when you can have a discussion without insulting people. Especially when your sports insight is pretty laughable.

The pressure to get players who can bring in immediate profits has always been by Dolan. Within the limited (and all bad) range of options that that gives you, Isiah, Layden, and Walsh may have picked the actual players.

There's always going to be pressure improve the team, but Donnie got Dolan to get on board with the 2 year clean up prior to 2010. We just need a competent GM with a plan.

It's going to be a long summer until we find a replacement.

The point is the 2 year clean up plan wasn't a good deal. It was basically "You can clean up for 2 years but then we have to grab as many profitable big names as possible whether or not they're truly the kind of player it makes sense to add to a 29 win team with long-term rebuilding needs." Over the past 10 years, no GM has gotten Dolan to accept real rebuilding.

I guess I just read the situation differently. It seemed to me that 2010 was Donnie's plan, not Dolan only handing out 2 years. There were a lot of impact making FA's on the market. And as far as Amar'e not making sense on a 29 win team, I will just say our chances of landing the LeBron were better with Amar'e than without, despite the unforeseen douchery. I definitely didn't see Amar'e having the MVP start he had this year last summer, but e definitely made NY a more desirable destination.

i'm not going to switch teams. however, i'm questioning whether i can continue to follow passionately as i have over the years.

anybody else having similar thoughts?

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
