![]() What are you getting from him that this team NEEDs that you aren't from Landry Fields at a cheaper price? We don't need another slasher and Fields is a better shooter and gets boards which this team sorely lacks. If you want to ink him to a 1 year MLE, fine but no more than that. I doubt he accepts that. But we don't want to be locked in for multiple years hampering our ability to upgrade our positions of weakness. Chances are he'd be sulking that he wasn't getting touches and creating trouble for the team anyway.

He would come off the bench and finish games. Our bench scoring is trash. I think Fields is more valuable to us in a trade to get a starting caliber C and/or PG. ![]() baby, I agree our biggest needs are PG and C, but the close third is SG. While I love Fields and still hope he develops into a solid starting SG, the truth is that since the trade, he has been exposed as a guard that can't get his shot off unless the PG finds him at the right spots and even then he isn't consistent. The mystery of why Fields has been such a liability since the trade is big, but has made us realize that unless he can get his act together and show improvement next season, he is better suited in the bench.
And at that point, you need to realize you need a starting SG for the Knicks. Now, this by no means is me wanting JR. There are better and cost-effective alternatives out there. Knicks_Fan

![]() Anubis ADL, I owe you an apology. I still think you're absolutely bat**** crazy for thinking it was a good idea to sign trade for Brandon Roy but you were the driver of this bandwagon.

![]() Allanfan20 wrote:Still not a fan of his. haha. trust me i can def. understand why. i suppose there's still time for JR Smith to piss away a game taking a horrible shot at a pivotal moment or getting T-d up or starting a crazy brawl that gets our best players suspended. it would be a cool (albeit expensive and timeconsuming feature) if we could somehow like..click on a posters name and see a profile of their opinions on various players in the league or various trades. there is a website called tick tocker that allows you to set reminders on the web for certain events. we should start using it to do things like: - Set an alarm 3 years from now on whether Gallo developed into an all star or he really was just a figment of our imaginations like posters X Y and Z said. he was having one hell of a season before he got injured. Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

If he doesn't make those changes though he's going to be a super-talented player who shoots around 40% for his career. |

Why weren't there any "gee, all you league backing guys who said they're be no way in hell a player's league would ever happen were right!" threads? |

![]() The more I see shump the more we don't "NEED" JR. Shump comes up big on defense in crunch time. IM not seeing anyting from JR after just a few games. There were things yesterday I saw I did not like from JR. On one sequence he went 1 on 4 and quickly got yanked. Im not ready to start suggesting "Trades" quite yet! Thats a joke BTW. |
