have some respect. jeffries was the second best knick on the floor tonight.

too funny.. the guy was great, made so many key plays to keep us in this game, a game we were badly outgunned and what do people take? Too funny.

Oh yea.. and coaching.

you know I went back and watched all the Celtics playoff games when they went to the finals last year and won a title prior. You know they never actually won a single game. It was always just poor coaching from the opposition that allowed them all those wins. Who knew?

Listen no one here downplayed his contributions. But the game came down to one possesion, and based of all the available knowledge of Jeffries offensive skill, and the way that the Celtics were doubling Anthony, you can't have Jeffries out there because he was going to be the open man. When you need one shot to win the game you don't want to worst offensive player on your team taking it. That is all.

"Looking at the tape, I should have shot it," Jeffries said, recalling the final seconds when he tried to pass, and had the ball taken away by Kevin Garnett.

"I felt like KG was coming down," Jeffries said. "I tried to dump the ball off to Bill (Walker), and KG had his hand down. So when I tried to pass the ball to Bill cutting to the rim, he got a hand on it."

Agreed. He should not have been on the floor. Mike D'Antoni has made some poor decisions so far.

I was so shocked when i saw him walking back on the court!

Correction, he earned his playing time. But down 1, he does not belong on the floor. THey were doubling off of him, you can't double off of shawne. Derrick Brown goes up hard on that one, Sheldon or Ronnie goes up hard.

This is the answer in a nutshell. In the experimental part of the season, after the Knicks clinched, Shelden Williams played well. Derrick Brown also showed that he could contribute. Here we are in the playoffs, and these guys can't even get on the layup line. Something is wrong with this thinking. Shelden showed good D and offensive output. Brown is that big body to play lockdown D on Allen. If we could go to Roger Mason, then surely these two players deserve a shot. If this trend continues, it's gonna be such a waste

I remember Jeffries as not being this bad with the ball (either dribbling or inside the paint) the first time he was with the Knicks. His confidence appears to have taken a really nasty shot. The way he turned after that Melo pass indicated he wasn't thinking of going strong, but passing out or to a cutter.
