Michael Kay's broadcasting intelligence peaked when he used to describe the colors of uniforms during his time on Yankee radio. It's been all downhill from there.

Barkley is the mad dog Russo of TV. He has no credibility but he continues to spew like an unclogged septic pipe.

how's this for an assumption - you'd be a lot better off if you put that security-seeking "statistician in me" to sleep more and brought out that "excited" and "really wanted to believe" you. sure you're gonna get let down, hurt, brusied, angry at times - but it's a hell of a lot better way to live than pulling back into your turtle shell. got any "efficiency" stats on that?

Security seeking? Shell? WTF?

ooh he's waking up now. think son, think.

Kevin McHale was on Boomer and Caron this morning. If he is is biased it is obviously in favor of the green guys from beantown. He doesn't think either the offensive foul against Melo or the trip should have been called but if they call the one against Melo they should have called the trip as well.

Wow, this really brings me back to my coaching days. Every Friday was toss my salad day. Anytime someone missed a foul shot, the rest of the players would toss his salad. It was so humiliating and hurtful to have your salad tossed in front of all your teammates. And since our guys were such health freaks and hated to see a bowl of salad tossed across the floor it really helped us to become a great foul shooting team, and one of the reasons I have two state titles.

As for the media. Who cares? Whether they hate us or love us, we still have to win. Players win the games, not Barkley or Kay or anyone else. I do find Barkley annoying just because I think he's knowledgeable and would love to hear his opinion on the Knicks, but I know taht when it comes to us I'm just going to get his schtick and not any sort of analysis. So I have to wait until he's done so I can hear someone else's opinion. Other then that, who cares.

I think the "underdog, they don't respect us, we've got something to prove" status of the Knicks is the perfect rallying point for this club right now.

All the hate is just fuel to the fire.

You need to grow a pair. It will help you get over your fear of criticism of the team. Yup, 2 (psychologists!) can play this silly game when they should be working!

too funny... I just read this and was going to post this (somewhere).

People just like to make assumptions and blame poor coaching strategy. At the end of the day the players make the shots or dont. MDA outcoached Rivers if Melo's 3 goes in. Its that simple. People want to fire him for Rick Adelman. What's he accomplished? Oh yea... the Rockets played hard an almost made the playoffs.

Pre-oedipal? Succorance? enmeshment? I love you Marv but you should be banned for using words that I have to look up on dictionary.com. This is Ultimateknicks.com and I should not have to do research that is not associated with Danilo Gallinari's consistency, D'Antoni's defensive efficiency or Jeff Van Gundy's Civic. Please watch your step from here on out.

Fans want ESPN to love us and everyone else....why I don't know.

I remember when Kenny was calling games for us while in Studio he would be hesitant and hold his tongue in certain situations being up front and honest. Then when he had contract issues with MSG doing games in the future he got his jabs in saying TNT they do things bigger and better. For a couple of yrs he got his shots in. We manage to turn the tables some and now he's talking about his 14yr old son having good Knick memories and finding ways to give us props. All in all who cares what anyone has to say about the team get a grip.
