My undergrad fraternity had a listserv that we'd send all all sorts of ridiculous **** on it. For whatever reason, guy's would sign the email with:
Fraternally,
Joe "Girls Love Me More Than a Fat Kid Loves Cake" Blow
or something to that effect. You'd get business and social messages sent out. But, also, you'd get some debate sent. The president had asked me to speak on a community panel on behalf of the fraternity about race, and I did, but under the condition that I would be allowed to be the chapter's president for a day. He agreed, but didn't honor his promise.
Later the campus gave me an award (the community hostility was aimed at the white, Protestant frat boy) for what I said on the panel (my message was basically "y'all want to be celebrate your heritage and unique difference--and you should--but think about me and other white, Protestant males that are essentially asked to be the uncelebrated. Think about how that affects race relations") and, I think, for also sticking around and talking to everyone that I spoke with in the audience.
So, the president had to let me be president for a day, and I signed off on all the listserv messages as "Supreme Commander". Immediately after, I registered at a basketball forum instead of studying for finals. Took that handle from the other forum to here.
