the Nuggets when they end up in the trash bin of history.

Not when Mozgov is dropping 20 and 10 every night, Gallo turns into the next Dirk, Felton becomes CP20 and Wilson turns into the Willow Man!!!! Seriously, good post, people have trouble letting go of the past.

The very near past... and it is still a bad trade, whether or not Denver is able to attract "stars."

Glad to see you guys buying into the company line.

You thinking of changing that screen name of yours, by the way, Mr. FeltonandAmare? If you keep it too much longer one might think that you're having trouble letting go of the past.

I like the trade. Denver is not winning crap with this squad and neither would the Knicks if they didn't pull the trigger.

Don't be so certain. The playoffs are a battle and the Nuggets can run out two complete platoons.

Gallo will be an all star in two years. Guaranteed. Mozgov did work against Bynum.

Being deep only helps if star players are already in place. Denver's "deep" roster isn't contending.

The real Nuggets were on television yesterday and they won IN Los Angeles.

If next season were so important Dolan would have allowed Donnie to wait.

The future was yesterday.

If post any trade you go in and beat a surging Laker team on their home court on a sunday game is very exciting. If that happend most of the UKers would be stringing pearl necklaces in a group circle jerk just spouting what a freaking god is and Walsh is exec of the year!

I don't know if Nuggs cut salary next year and what they do with their expirings but there fans must be excited NOW and they could do some damage.

Im ok with it all this season because while MSG is selling NOW its stupid to get exicted about this team until we fill in some huge roster deficits.

We in the playoffs, we gets swept, So what. Who was expecting we go further? Maybe if the trade was not looming and not done our yoots could have made it to the 5th spot?

Trade is done. I like Karl, Like the "departed" and hope they do well!

As if these Knugget threads aren't group cirlce jerks for those opposed to the trade. These threads are no different than the countless threads created after the trade to bash Walsh, Dolan, etc. for giving up too much or, 'Gallo scored such and such so he's going to be a star," or as you called it before Nalod a "Na-Na-Na-Na-pooh-pooh thread."

I would say aside from the Lakers the Nuggets have just a good a chance as anyone in the Western confernce.

This team is very similiar to the Pistons that won a championship. They can put Affalo/Chandler on Kobe which will slow him down in a long series; Denver will abuse Fisher in a series and they have the size to affect Bynum and Gasol.

Everyone says they don't have someone that can score or win a series but Smith, Harrington, Gallo can all get hot not to mention Felton and Chandler. It's going to be interesting.

The trade still sucks and we still got robbed. Melo doesn't do enough things well to ever justify paying the guy that much. Billups can' defend anyone and the prudent move was to make a switch to a defensive coach and not gut the entire roster.

That was an extremely rare case, and that was one of the best defensive teams ever.

This Denver team doesn't fit that bill. I don't see Billups, Hamilton, Rasheed and Ben Wallace type of talents.

Living in Denver I think I may know a little bit more about the Nuggets than most on this board. The reason that the Not Ready for Prime Time Nuggets have done better than the Knicks recently is the fact that they had to only replace one player in their starting five where we had to replace 3 and some could argue 4 since Chandler was getting starter minutes. This is all an illusion which time will expose. The Nuggets are headed for the trash bin of history.

The other little known fact is that ownership has made staying under the cap a priority. They also own the local hockey team and have done the same thing to it, namely, instituting a cost cutting program which has resulted in the once mighty Avs residing near the bottom of the NHL standings. The ownership is more interested in the bottom line rather than building a contender. And the way the ownership, media and fans have treated Melo after his departure ensures no other star will want to play in Denver for the foreseeable future.
