if he had just kissed MDA's ass a little more in practice last year he'd be here by now.

Someone else who was too young to realize he needed to do that is off to a great start against the Mavs tonight. Randolph is playing great. Too bad he never had a chance here.

D'Antoni on the Barron Conspiracy: “I like Earl. He’s a good guy. But is he better than Shelden Williams?"

What about waiving Rautins or Balk.

Since everybody, including me, has been so negative with our coach, I'm trying to be more balanced with my opinion.

But really, comments like this one just make it impossible.

Is this guy so clueless about the importance of big men in the NBA and the difference between a 6'9" guy who really isn't a center and has struggled to play his style versus a legit 7'0" center who can rebound, defend and has had success in his system?

Before you guys start again, Im not saying he is Chamberlain. Heck, he isn't Nazr Mohammed but when your center rotation consists of Jeffries, Glass Turiaf, Sheldon and an out of position Amar'e, anything is an improvement.

Im really trying but D'Antoni is driving me crazy. He isn't 100% responsible for this, but he has a HUGE share of it.

When keeping it real goes WRONG.

D'Antoni isn't lying but he didnt need to say that.

A 7'0" Shelden Williams is better than a 6'8"-6'9" Shelden Williams.

Are we really gonna try signing him once another team starts negotiating with him?

Mike D says he may not be better than Sheldon, but he is since he isn't the liability on offense Sheldon is. And he is a true center, which we lack other than Fragile Turiaf.

Another day passes and I can't understand why don't they sign Barron.

If we could go out and find a really good player in the NBA that's going to go compete in the NBA playoffs as a center that 15 teams need … that's a little bit of fantasy basketball to me. I just don't see it," D'Antoni said of a player released this season by Phoenix and Milwaukee (earlier this week).

That guy is in Minny now you dumb bunny.

Its desperation time. Randolph and Mozgov can;t be had to help put pathetic center cause.

Yet, a stubborn man will face desperation the same silly way desperation was created.

Who is excited about starting Amar'e at center and Shawne Williams at power forward?! Along with Billups running the point and Douglas being the two guard, we will do our best job going to the playoffs representing Team Turmoil.

"What is it, March 23rd (It was 25th, actually), and we can go out and find a really good player that's going to compete in the NBA playoffs as a center? Fifteen teams need one and you're going to go pick one up? That's a little bit of fantasy basketball to me," D'Antoni said. "I just don't see it, and this late in the season he's going to be able to learn all the plays and get in the system? And he's not as good as another guy in there that we've got at the 4-5? I think you're grasping at straws.

"I like Earl and he's a good guy. But is he better than Shelden Williams? Is he better than guys that are in there? I like him, but I just don't think that's where we want to be right now," D'Antoni said.

First of, while 15 teams need help at center, those 15 at least have a viable option in the starting lineup or the bench. Who the heck do we have? Crystal Turiaf is the only decent option and he can't seem to play consecutive games because of injury. Jeffries? A 6'8" Sheldon Williams? Really? This guy is insane.

Fantasy basketball? That is the best way to describe the joke he is putting out there with this new team.

Unsure that he will learn the plays? Doesn't it help a little that he has been here and played in the system. Even if he does have problems, it isn't like he would be the only one, with a cerebral guy like Billups finding this system the hardest to learn in his whole career.

"Better than Sheldon?" Who cares if he doesn't even play Sheldon. And if you care, lets just say, for starters, that Barron IS really a center.

Yeah, "I don't think that's where we want to be right now". Right, like a true center that could help our horrible deficiencies of rebounding and defense. But we don't need Barron, nor any other center, for that matter. We can win with a ridiculously small lineup. As a proof, just watch the winning streak we're on at the moment.
