Please define patience my good man.

i did in the same post which you've been cherry-picking for quotes out of context. i said how about 10-15 games?

that's what i'm expecting.

It took 17 games for the Miami Trio.

yeah, and they had the luxury of training camp.

it's gonna be a potentially bumpy ride.

When a team plays bad after a trade--its we need training camp and oh yes Chris Paul--meanwhile the team that backed up the Brinks trunk ot MSG just beat 3 good teams in 4 nights without excuse.

It's not like Denver just had scrubs. They've got a lot of talent too. In fact they sent us 2 of their best but that was it. We sent them 3 of our best and our only true C. They already had a deeper team than we did. They can afford to play team ball, cuz they don't really have anyone that is a star. It's easier to think team, cuz all they have are very good role players with a team mentality. We have to find a way to merge together our stars and when we do, it will be a very strong team. We don't have a balance right now. Even more so we don't have a focus on rebounding. we shouldn't get outrebounded by so much. I'm sure that Donnie and Mike had that in mind when they were resisting sending Timo.

Tonight Fields didn't have his usual strong rebounding game. Fields only had 3 and Turiaf only had 5. He should have more than 5 since he doesn't have to worry about scoring. All his energy should be on defense and hitting the boards. It also didn't help that TD was 1-8 and Williams was 1-6. If guys are hitting at their normal percentages, we beat this team. Even without great rebounding. Let's just hope Donnie brings in some bigman help soon.

The reason why MDA is so big on getting Jared back is cuz even tho Turiaf blocks shots, he actually doesn't help as much to shutdown driving lanes like Jared. Jared is much more agile and knows how to help and recover. He could really help us to defend against guard penetration. He's not infallible, but he does get the job done more often than not. Jared as a double man is very key, cuz he's 6-11 and long and that's better than a guard coming over. I hope he's kept himself in shape.

"When something is wrong with my baby... something is wrong with me" - Sam and Dave

When Jared Jeffries is the perceived as the savior at center, something is wrong.

We HAD a center and caved in to the ransom demands.

When Anthony Carter is a savior, something is wrong. Oh wait, no, it's not... it's called depth and team.

After Cleveland and Miami, I'm still afterglowing.

We had a center who couldn't play defense. Now we have a superstar who likes to make Lebron look bad.

I wish we could have gotten Camby, too last week. That said, we have a big three and can go FAR this year if we add the right bigs and play D.

PhillinLA - Marcus Camby would be perfect but he is busy throwing alley oop passes to LaMarcus Aldridge. Greg Oden would be easier to acquire with a package of players, draft picks and cash. A huge gamble.

Speaking of afterglow, Shawne Williams orange kicks looked good last night. He could not hit his shot but he brought some glue on Lebron. His four consecutive free throws at the end were as clutch as they come.

Ronny Turiaf was invisible. That's okay. That is why depth is important. Bill Walker used his prodigious hops to protect the rim.

To be a Knicks fan is to be schizophrenic.

The Walker/Williams lineup is interesting. It gives us better spacing. Obviously we need to figure out something better going forward.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

JohnWallace - our fascinating Knicks started the third quarter in a funk. It was the second unit of role players, with both Amare and Carmelo on the bench, who made a statement. D'Antoni took a huge risk by playing The Odd Squad. He was rewarded as players tested how to trust each other without the megastars.

"At one point, played Anthony, Carter, Turiaf, Renaldo Balkman and Douglas together."

Anthony Carter was a pest. Toney Douglas could not buy a shot but hustled all over the place on defense. Bill Walker earned time with his solid first half.

Donnie Walsh's primary assignment is to find two legit centers. Not castoffs. Not other teams rejects. No sidegrades.

Two legit centers.
