For example Kurt Thomas--if he was on the Knicks he probably would not play--let alone start. The Bulls had a big time injury there--+ also started the season many games without Boozer. Since they rely on a defense first approach--yet can also win with offense there is more balance in terms of being able to win games. We really are a 1 way street with MDA--we shouldve paid more for Thibedau.

The Pacers get rid of Obrien--a Walsh hire and now they start winning and Roy Hibbert is playing greta again. This no discipline offense style doenst work unless you have a dream team--and then it may still not wokr in the playoffs. Think Suns and Amare J Johnson Nash marion in their prime---it would be hard to replicate that.

Briggs: "a night of Rage".......Hope your staying chill. Not sure if Walsh has been coaching by proxy thru Obrian or the correlation with our team. Team is bugging out of late.

They are not playing well at the moment and we all know they can do better. That I agree with.

Perhaps the only choice we have is Thomas if Donnie leaves.

I think the point is that they are not being coached well and that that isn't going to change with a coach who has a flawed philosophy.

we had a really unbalanced schedule to start the year where we played some incredibly weak teams... followed by a really tough stretch of games. this is not surprising. we are not a 50 win team. a team like atlanta is and we're just not in their class yet.

and i'd like to elaborate. mozgov's had a nice string of games, aside from the dallas one and today. he's not entirely to blame for the loss against the dallas but he was a large reason why we gave up a lot of points against the clips tonight. and tonight was more the norm with him and what we saw earlier in the season. if mozgov continues to play major minutes i'm pretty sure this is going to continue.

The Clips have a savvy PG and two STUDS in Griffin and Jordan. Timo is still learning to play against talent like that. I can't blame the kid for having trouble keeping tabs on those guys. He was effective tho and at least rebounded and scored himself. I think the bigger issue was that we didn't defend the Clips PG's very well at all and they were finding guys quite easily. Felton and TD didn't do a very good job defensively and that led to good passing and great shooting for the Clips.

we gave up an average of 29 points a quarter, got lit up from outside, and Mozgov is the reason we lost????????????????????

if he can't play against a team with a frontcourt where he's needed most then why exactly is he playing?

and these are the clippers. what happens when we need to play against the bulls?

Really now, you're still going on with this?

You're going to blame Mozgov for the loss...I've heard it all.

hate to break it to you but Jordan is not a STUD, he's a work in progress just like Mozgov, in many ways his offensive game isn't even as polished he has no midrange J to speak of like Mozgov has... he's a strong rebounder & very physical in the paint but has no offensive game other than dunks around the rim & his defensive lapses are often just as bad as Mozgov's... did u not watch the game Mozgov was left wide open underneath the basket for most of his dunks & he did the same for Jordan on the other end, who collected just about all his points on dunks himself... there is a big issue when you have a complete lack of interior defense it puts a ton of pressure on everyone else on the floor to stay in front of their man... it didn't help matters that Amare was off the floor for much of the 3rd quarter because of foul woes... i thought Amare did a good job blocking some big shots in crunchtime but Foye's ridiculous shooting down the stretch was too much to handle... sure Felton & TD could have done a better job in the 4th quarter of stopping Randy Foye & keeping Baron out of the paint throughout the rest of the game, but he's a pretty savvy vet he knows how to expose a porous defense... interior defense is a serious issue can't just gloss over it because Mozgov is still learning on the job, we need to be winning these games if we want to stay in the playoff picture.

We heard excuses for this for D'Antoni's first 2 years. Now there is no excuse.

You're back?! Awesome!

This guy, man. "excuses for 2 years", that's crazy talk. You forgot what kind of team he had to deal with those first two years? Crawl back into gopher hole.

Last nights defensive approach reminded me of our defense during MDA's first two years.

Seems the personnel improve, but the results don't.

The Clippers scored 28, 30, 30 & 28 points by quarter.

You would think that a team would of their own, minus any impediment from the opposing team, just miss a few baskets for a stretch?

It seems that teams love to play against us.

Results, 26-25, winning record in February. That's results.

And Isiah had us in the 8th play off slot about this same time. Results!

We keep losing games like last night - and its not isolated with losses to the 76ers, Suns & Kings at home- and we're not finishing the year above 500 and we might not make the play offs.

I'm just being realistic. This team wasn't built to be a shutdown defensive team. We beat teams by outscoring them and playing smart and efficient BB. Now we've been looking to add Melo who will only further cement that this is an offensive team. Unless we don't get him and then can go for a big and PG. Otherwise we'd be doubling down on the offensive team we already have and making it more potent with Melo.

I know it looks like we lost on D, but really it was horrid offense. We can't miss that many open shots and expect to win.

this game against the Clips' is the first time I recall ever seeing Gallo wide open just beyond the arc and looking for someone to pass to....

TD led that comeback from 20 down when he came on the floor. BTW he was a +16 for the game. Not everyone was terrible. Noticed also once Felton expecting Moz to go one way and he goes the other so Felton ran something else. Everyone needs to be on the same page.

love gallo's runs to the hoop being his go-to move now. his 3 point shot is seriously broke. i hope he recovers it because that’s quite a combination. but in the meantime i'm seriously glad he's chilling with it.
