Another wing player? We have one actual guard that can be considered above average. More help in the back court is a definite need almost as much as a big man is. Some of you are seriously overstating the value of Chandler in his contract year.

true, so true. we need help in the back court almost as much as we need help up front. and chandler, he's at his ceiling, overachieving this year for the cash money. guy just doesn't have that heart that's needed to take it to the next level, the next notch on the totem.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

going into his contract year isnt a bad thing at all. Paying for talent isnt a problem for 4 out of 5 NBA teams. Its getting talent that is tough. Rudy is NOT a good NBA player plain and simple. His shooting which is his strong point is streaky at best, his defense way below anything reasonable and he's a moody personality to boot. Thats a terrible talent trade for the Knicks. Rudy isnt giving you anything someone like Toney Douglas or Bill Walker cant give you, and those guys have not been good.

Between Walker, Willaims, Fields, Chandler, and Douglas we have enough 2s and 3s. We need a backup PG, a backup PF, and a starting center. If it is not for Melo, no trade should be done without getting a player at one of the above positions of need.

man... look at Reggie Evens getting 12rpg (top 5 in the NBA) in like 28 minutes. THATS what the Knicks need. A guy who will come in off the bench for 25-30 minutes, play defense and send bodies flying

...With the occasional well-timed reach-around on opposing centers. Imagine Ilgauskas' reaction? Gloria might get jealous.

that play tells you what a mental case this guy is and how badly we need someone who will do whatever it takes to win. You dont want a whole team of lunies but one rabid dog is very usefull to have

Walker is the only 2 in your post. And no that's not enough.
