According to a league source, Chandler might seek a five-year deal worth $60 million.

Q. BigSmOOth - what's up with that nickname?

A. Wilson Chandler's numbers are "up" with that nickname, across the board

Chicks dig the strong silent type

That's worse than Marc Berman calling Danilo Gallinari the Italian Stallion. LOL I've never heard Clyde or Mike Breen call Wilson Chandler the mayor.

But if we miss out on Carmelo Anthony, I have no problem giving Chandler $12M a year.

iSergio - you are all over the map.

First, if you depend on Clyde and Breen for your serendipitous moments, you are simply a follower. Since when were tv announcers the final word?

The Answer Man has been using The Mayor since 2007, when he caught the shy rookie in Summer League in person. The hook was intended as a way to forward his campaign since he was way too shy to speak for himself. As his Campaign Manager, The Answer Man created the freestyle hook to prop up the same reluctant shining star we are witnessing today. Yeah, it's The Mayor and if you don't like it, that's cool. As anyone will tell you, hindsight is easy. Having vision and forethought to give a rookie a nickname is sublime... and it is pure fun.

It's only basketball.

Lighten up.

LOL You can call him whatever you want, it's not that serious. But I will admit 'Amear' needs to really go.

The Mayor rocks

Amear is not a hook. It is an inside joke about sloppy keyboard skills and random superstition.

joec32033 - "but it just seems that always around the 60 game mark"

AM - This is only The Mayors fourth season. His rookie year he played 35 games, in 09 The Mayor played 70 games. Last year, coming off a more serious leg injury than he or the campaign office wanted to admit (because he is a warrior), he played 64

franco - there are still too many games that he finishes with few points and a minor impact on the game.

AM - franco, care to identify the games you are referring to? One more thing, what season have you been watching?

Don't get stuck in the past

In 09 he played 70 but played hurt for a bunch of games before they shut him down at the end if the season. It was the same last year. Don't get it twisted, it is a small sample size but in 2 out of his 3 seasons as a full time player he has not finished out a season. Maybe they are freak injuries. Maybe not. What worries me is it is at the same point every year for a young player who looks to be in constantly tremendous shape.

I am not bashing him but facts are facts. If he can put together a 77-80 game season or at least get through to the end without a nagging injury it would be huge in my mind. Keep in mind my main point is he seems to get hurt or start feeling it at the same point every year and his numbers do start to dip.

I am not bashing him, I have been impressed with him this year and may actually may starting to become a fan of his, but as of now I personally-not that it means much In the big picture-have concerns about him.

Papabear Says

Don't try to sugar it up! We all know how you really feel about Chandler. He will be an allstar point blank!

Joec32033 Says

Do you really? Enlighten me as to what the popular belief is on my feelings about Chandler.

Just want to point out I am still waiting to hear how I really feel about Chandler from Papabear......
