Both are lanky as hell, both were injury prone early in their careers, both were traded to New York and were relegated to the bench. Only difference is Camby was 25 at the time while AR is only 21. Give the dude some time and see if he can put it all together. Raptors gave up on Camby too quick. Can you imagine if they had him on those teams with Vince and TMac? I'd hate to be saying the same thing about AR 5 years from now.

esp. when he is dirt cheap. trading AR right now would be selling super super low.

I've been told that the Knicks have looked into the availability of Joel Przybilla as the Trail Blazers appear ready to break up that injury-riddled team. The dream would be to land Marcus Camby for a decent price, but let's not get carried away.

think it's Alan Hahn who wrote that. take whatever you will from that.

Pryz is a rugged rebounder and pretty strong shotblocker and defender. Not the most fleet of foot guy and is really bad offensively, but that would be an interesting addition.

The great thing about Turiaf is that even though he's not a good scorer, he's a well versed offensive player that passes the ball well out of the high post.

The thing with Turiaf is that he's not a great rebounder, and while he does a good job protecting the paint from guards and wing players, he can't protect the post against bigger and stronger players. ie. Turiaf is just as mismatched against the likes of Lopez, Bargnani, Nene, KG, etc. as Chandler/Amare have been. The only one who can really matchup with those bruisers on our team is Mozgov imo, but Mozgov just ends up picking up two quick fouls and goes right back to the bench never seeing anymore time.

VDes/Scosh Yeah I love Turiaf's heart but gotta agree with you. His greatest tools are passing the ball well for a big and shotblocking. Post defense..not so much.

Perhaps we could take Kurt Thomas..make him 10 years younger..and stick him in the rotation?

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

i don't see us making a move for anyone without an expiring contract until Melo's situation is settled... Camby would be the perfect follow up move after a Melo trade if u think about it.... they're already familiar w/each other's games from their time together in Denver, & Camby solves a lot of the defensive concerns that Melo might bring along w/him & provides u with a C that can play well off the ball & away from the post, which gives Amare all the spacing he needs to excel in his game as well.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Is Jerome Jordan ready yet?

Jerome Jordan--the guy shot like 75% from the field in all of his games combined. My gosh he is 7-1 250 why not bring him back and start him with 4-5 games in the D league with 40 a night and see where we are at.

I think Jordan's return is a year or two away. According to that link he is averaging under 12 minutes a game. He needs more experience and the Knicks hold his rights if he stays in Europe. He was a smart choice as a second round pick but he may never be ready for the NBA let alone a solution to the size problem right now.

If Lee played a solid to great defense the Knicks would have kept him to play alongside Amare OR maybe they would have pushed harder for LeBron or Wade. Maybe they would have enough games last year to make LeBron want to come play with Lee. Alas, that didn't happen, but things are looking pretty sweet right now.
