i still have yet to hear any logical explanation why a #8 lottery pick selected rookie can't find playing time on a team that isn't contending for the playoffs... nice try but your example has no bearing in this discussion... yes, MDA is starting 2 rookies now... what's that got to do with last year? i've been happy w/Landry Fields all year long... i think Mozgov is nowhere near being ready to start games & on a team that expects to make the playoffs this year it's my contention that Turiaf should be the one starting for now until Mozgov gets his feet under him... you are cherry picking & generalizing my comments with absolutely no regard for the context in which they were made... if you're going to do that then don't bother commenting on anything i say, because you're just wasting my time.

as for the improvement in our defense, i think that's much more of a product of DW going out & bringing in guys who can block shots & play defense this past summer... of course you're going to see an improvement... but in your mind that's all attributable to MDA's coaching... i get it... so when the team sucks & loses games to inferior teams, it's all on the players, but when they improve in certain aspects of their game, it's all due to MDA's genius as a basketball coach... so basically you can't lose, you've covered all your bases & anything anyone says to the contrary is just more blind hate with no basis in fact in your mind... but if it makes you feel better i will acknowledge the fact that MDA is playing rookies & our defense looks improved... now please explain to me why we're still launching up 3's like they're going out of style, not working to look for an easier shot at all & still losing games to inferior teams with regularity... if you think it's not fair to say that MDA can't succeed without an MVP calibre PG like Nash running his system, then how about showing me some evidence to prove that he can.

I think you are overreacting. I wasn't cherry picking your comments, I was only trying to show you that MDA is not as inflexible as people make him out to be, because he does play rookies and he does seem to have started making an improvement on defense.

Where did you see me saying he was defensive genius or that all the games we lost were on the players? MDA is not a great coach, but I am only trying to point out people here make everything his fault without looking at the results he is producing.

if you think it's not fair to say that MDA can't succeed without an MVP calibre PG like Nash running his system, then how about showing me some evidence to prove that he can - this is very close to being sophistry. Just becuse hasn't done something does not mean he can never do it. Your premise is flawed.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Felton is not an All-Star type PG .....

That hurts us as a team!!

And he looks only for Amare ....... Like Dudu and Lee last year...

But Dudu got Lee the Ball this ass clown cant even do the easiest play in the NBA

We need D-Will or Paul ..... I say bring Mayo or Rubio

But we stuck with Felton and till he figure it out we will be losing...

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

i'm basing this statement on MDA's history, which has shown that his teams have not had much success without Steve Nash leading the offense... does that mean he can NEVER do it without Steve Nash? maybe, maybe not... but based on his history it would seem to indicate that he can't... if you want to say that's not good enough evidence, then there's nothing more i can say... you'll just have to stubbornly stick to that line of reasoning until he proves me wrong i suppose.
