Every single one of your posts sounds the same. We get it , you want Amare gone. It's starting to get annoying tho, posting same crap in every post since you joined
Actually If you look my post first couple games I stood behind Amare. What's annoying is how everyone makes an excuse for Amare like he isn't playing piss poor in all aspects of his game. "He needs a point guard" Point is, even when he gets some day light he still isn't finishing like he was before. I get it. Every here is treating Amare as if he is still playing at the level he was last year. Making excuses.
Wtf! Did Amare kick your dog or something? Seriously, we get it. You hate Amare. He's probably not on your fantasy team-or maybe he is and that is the root of all this. Either way it doesn't matter. We get your point.
But before I move on from this I would love to have a little chat about this huge point you seem to be harping on as an excuse people use for Amare.
Ahem...WHAT PF OTHER THAN DIRK DOES NOT RELY ON A GOOD PG??? Seriously, I got to throw that off you. What PF's do you see that don't rely on their teammates to get them good position? I've never seen Pau go from key to post. Kevin Love? Best PF in the league possibly? Not exactly an Iso machine. I can't think of one. Griffin? Brother was the option 1a on his team (Gordon) but option 1 in the post last year. And how did LA decide to help him and make him and the team better? By going out and getting Chris EFFING Paul! Even Malone had Stockton, dog.
But let's cut through all the BS. The point isn't about a PG. It is about having the guy initiates getting Amare the ball in his comfort zone. Problem is we are no longer a team that plays to Amare's strengths. Amare has used speed, and athleticism his whole career and his comfort zone was the post to the foul line. Now he is playing with a guy who's comfort zone is post to 3 point territory (Anthony), and who needs the ball and needs shots. And it is not a knock on Anthony, he is who he is. Now with Chandler down there and Anthony down there, they put Amare out 15+ feet and his offensive game has turned into that of Oakley-taking those 15-18 foot jumpshots. No post game and driving into a crowd of Melo and Chandler when he tries to utilize his speed.
Last night is a prime example. First half, Melo is passing Amare has 15 in an ugly half but he carried the team. Melo stayed out of his way. Second half? Melo starts to shoot from everywhere, Amare has 8 points in the half and looked nothing like the guy from the first half.
Whose fault is it? Everyone. The coaching staff made the decision to run a system predicated on ball movement as long as at the end it ends up in Carmelo's hands. There is a reason for as high scoring as Mike's PHX teams were they never had a league leader in scoring. You had 3 guys in the low 20's (Nash, Amare, Marion) , you had a couple guys in that 15 point range (Bell, Joe Johnson,Barbosa) and your odds and ends. The coaching staff basically runs a system where Amare picks up scraps.
And Amare does not get off scott free here. Amare's biggest problem? His mangina. Seriously. He got here was all big and bad "The Knicks are back.." yadda, yadda, yadda, MVP,MVP,MVP then the minute another alpha dog comes he rolls over. His aggression and passion are gone. He wanted a team and this team was his. Now he's neutered.
I personally believe if Amare still played with that driven, aggressive, passionate play he started here with, I don't care if Melo is averaging 26 or 36 points per, noone would be questioning whose team it was.
