Reading the NYTimes piece on the dearly departed David Lee, one looks ahead to the recption Lee will receive on Wednesday night. Wasn't there some chatter about a video tribute to Nate?

In the hearts and minds of Knicks fans David Lee probably ranks a click away from Charles Oakley and John Starks.

Lee was an Isiah Thomas guy. If there is a video tribute for Lee on Wednesday, it may provide a clue to how much Donnie Walnuts respects Zekes tenure as GM.

similarly, any sentimental Lee video will provide extra incentive to Stat. It is on Stoudemire to make New Yorkers forget Lee via an exceptionla game against Golden State

I absolutely don't see the logic or reason to give a video tribute to a player who never even made the playoffs, and played on 5 putrid teams, in the worst ERA of the Franchise exsistance.

David Lee (love the guy) did absolutely nothing note worthy for this franchise. If anything, he should thank the knicks for developing him into a very godd player. We can't neglect his horrible defense, his empty stats, or non impact stats, and his inabilty to carry the team at any point.

A nice ovation for his hard work and dedication to shooting the ball acurately, being a solid locker room guy, and sustaining professionalism through the mayhem he had to endure during his stay, should be more then enough.

It's sad, but i don't think any knick fan wants to remember the last 5 years of this franchise, the utter emabarrassing loses, the drama off and on the court, and the dizzing influx of player movement.
Amare is here to help us put that era far behind us like it never happen and to make his time here "video tribute worthy".

knicks1248 - here you go homeskillet...

"David Lee was easily one of the most popular Knicks of the past 10 years and when the All-Star power forward returns to the Garden Wednesday night, the club will honor him with an in-game video tribute."

- Frank Isola

Why not a video tribute for Jamal Crawford?

While the David Lee video tribute is playing, I wonder what feelings the expression on Amar'es face will attempt to disguise.

Personally I'm with Knicks1248. I know these guys were popular, but they did very little for us in terms of wins. In my view we are cheapening the video tribute

bippity - exactly.

In the annals of Knicks history, Mase did WAY more than David Lee to contribute to a culture of winning basketball.

If Eddy Curry steps on the court for a regulation game Anthony Mason deserves the Helen Keller Award

I'm with you. I love David Lee, but to me all he deserves is a nice ovation for his efforts. He did nothing to earn a "tribute" in my view. Why are we giving tributes to anyone that played for us the last few years. Those teams have given us nothing but misery.

bippity - think of it this way, did David Lee play any "harder" than Chris Duhon, or Al Harrington?

Padded trophy to be presented to Lee at halftime, around the same time his numbers drop off.

The Answer Man Smells A Conspiracy, or Some Rice A Roni Burning On The Stove

Q. martin - we are video celebrating 5 years of 28 average win seasons?

A. No way, we are video tributing an Isiah Thomas first round draft selection.

You gotta know Zeke's fingerprints are all over this David Lee tribute thing.
