Well Gallo was lights out too, before all the geniuses said he had to take it to the hoop. Now of course he can't do either.

I think a pleasant mix of inside and outside is not too much to ask. I see teams guarding him with players much shorter than him.

Mason may be playing his way off the team. Is his contract guaranteed?

Aren't the 76ers' one of the teams we're looking to beat out for a playoff spot?

3/5 of our starting squad did not play- not sure that we can use this game to compare teams.

Fields makes him redundant.

I don't give a **** about the score.

All I care about is that Mozgov got 4 fouls in 36 minutes and 7 rebounds. I love this guy.

No one played that well with the exception of Fields in the 1st half. 36 minutes and 7 rebounds for a 7-1 guy is not great.

That being said--I dont care who is out on the floor--the overwhelming theme of this pre-season is we will have a very hard time winning games getting pounded on the boards like this. I mean we haev just been decimated on the boards forget Melo or anyone else--if the fundamental aspect of rebounding is not repaired--we will not win 30 games--its as simple as that. You cannot win 41+ games in the low 5 of rebounding. We need a player who can rebound some balls--thats the bottom line.

Let me throw out some examples--when we went through the 0-14 stretch--we just could not get 2nd and 3rd chances for any easy hoop. Guys are out of position of flat out not giving enough energy to get to the ball. Lets say we get a basket or two on 2nd chance points during that stretch--maybe it changes that run.

Chandler, Gallo, Amare all sat out. Felton only played 22 min. This was the night for the 2nd and 3rd teams. Good move by MDA to do this so he can evaluate the other players.

Big problem - lack of 3 pt shooting. 8 - 30 = 26.7% = terrible.
Douglas played well except for 3 pt shooting (1 for 10). And no free throws. Needs to drive more and shoot 3's less.

AR had 12 free throws. That's impressive. And 2 blocks. Also very good. But only 3 rebs. Not impressive.

I missed the game but if you count team rebounds the Knicks were out rebounded 68-41. You can't win like that.

Rebounding is a veteran skill put aside phenoms like DLee.
This team is young and they will be bad in this aspect of the game.
They will be bad in a lot of other fundamentals too.
Most of this young players have waaaays to go.

Our rebounding is an area of concern, but we also shot 29/83, so they were bound to pick up a ton of defensive rebounds, and Philly shot 46/91- which meant fewer rebound opportunities for us on the defensive end.

Still a major issue for us, though.
