Good post GoNY, You and I agree on that whole sentiment.

The one thing I had to note was this:

A player of RaWeed's ability in the low blocks would make this team the EC favorite.

YES... We would be feared in the East even moreso than we are now (Trust me, anyone with sense are taking Notice at what is going on with this team.)

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Is it me, or does enyone else have confidence that the Knicks can win on most nights now?

you forgot to qualify your statement by adding .... "the Knicks can win on most nights..." against the East.

Yes, true but also we can compete in the West now. I am inspired by Marbury and Wilkens.

Seattle 79-76 over Philly with 4:13 to play! They beat Philly and we're tied for 8th!

i just got back from the game. the MAIN difference going to a home game now is that i actually expect to win. the great thing about marbury is that if the other players don't have it going (like kvh today), then he just steps up the scoring aspect of his game. it's amazing how many people we have that can score. and the way we're playing, marbury may average 10-11 assists per game since the trade. i'm still a little concerned about our defense but that's b/c of our personnel. we just don't have enough two-way players. but i'm extremely excited about us possibly pushing our way up to the 4th or 5th seed. once all these other teams start falling, like toronto, and i think to a certain extent boston and philly, we can climb our way up.

exactly. When i first saw his numbers coming into ny (21 ppg, 8 apg) I expected him to b more of a ball hog. Then after watching him play, game after game, i saw he really is a pass first, shoot when necessary, kinda player.
Marbury should be averaging bout 5 more assists per game than he is in ny...hes been givin some great passes just the other players rnt making their shots.

totally. we lack 2 way guys... (spree), but he wasn't good w/ allan houston.

KVH's a better fit.

Houston, KT and KVH is the perfect compliment for Marbury. We have enough low post offense coming from Houston and KVH. When the opposing team has a SG or SF that Houston and KVH can't post up then it is the time for Marbury to score. KVH had problems today because of Bosch and Marshall. We are picking-and-rolling every team to death now. KT, KVH, Houston, Doleac are perfect for Marbury's game. All can hit the open shot with regularity.

FWill on the other hand is in my opinion the guy to be traded. FWill needs to handle the rock when he is in. Not going to happen with Marbury running the show at 40+min a clip. FWill has tremendous trade value right now along with Shandon can pick up a decent athletic big man.
